fixed the issue. Will look into that further Alright, after trying a couple more things I figured out how to determine if a given point is in the visible region, and it's pretty simple:
code :
//Note: this.mMap is an instance of GoogleMap

LatLngBounds bounds = this.mMap.getProjection().getVisibleRegion().latLngBounds;

LatLng markerPoint = new LatLng(item.getLatitude(), item.getLongitude());

    this.mMap.addMarker(new MarkerOptions(...));

I think the issue was by ths following , Since googleMap.appMarker() seems not to get called, you propaply catch an Exception when calling content.getRelation().equals("son").

seems to work fine I want to add multiple markers in my map, but I don't know the way.
code :
ArrayList<MarkerData> markersArray = new ArrayList<MarkerData>();

for(int i = 0 ; i < markersArray.size() ; i++) {

    createMarker(markersArray.get(i).getLatitude(), markersArray.get(i).getLongitude(), markersArray.get(i).getTitle(), markersArray.get(i).getSnippet(), markersArray.get(i).getIconResID());

protected Marker createMarker(double latitude, double longitude, String title, String snippet, int iconResID) {

    return googleMap.addMarker(new MarkerOptions()
            .position(new LatLng(latitude, longitude))
            .anchor(0.5f, 0.5f)

I think the issue was by ths following , I was wondering how you add multiple markers to a Google Map in Android.The set up I have is the coordinates are stored in an online database and then encoded into JSON. These JSON coordinates are then parsed through a JSON parser class to retrieve the information and stored in an arrya. However I can't seem how to figure out how to iterate through the JSON Array where the coordinates are stored to add them as markers to a google map. , try this

This might help you I don't think any user will find a visual filled with 5900+ markers useful.
There's no way to make this problem go faster unless you can figure out a meaningful way to display less data. You need to filter those locations better. Maybe only displaying those stores within a 10 mile radius of the current GPS location would work better. It'll render faster, and your users will thank you for not confusing them.
