JavaScript chaining many function

JavaScript chaining many function

this one helps. If one (or all) of your functions is async, given that you've tagged your question with jQuery, you can just use promises.
code :
function funct1(){
    var dfd = $.Deferred();
    //Inside some async function, eventually:
    dfd.resolve();
    //More code
    return dfd.promise();
}
$.when(funct1, funct2).done(function (arg1, arg2) {
});

hope this fix your issue This is possible if you create a wrapper/decorator object that makes chaining possible. This is how jQuery works for example. But it is useless in this case.
I made a possible implementation, though.
code :
storage().setItem('names', 'Bill').getItem('names'); // or
storage().setItem('names').addItem('Bill').getItem('names'); // or
storage().key('names').value('Bill').set().get('names');
(function( window, undefined ) {

var storage = function( key, value ) {
  return new storage.init( key, value );
};

storage.init = function( key, value ) {
  this._key   = key;
  this._value = value;
};

storage.init.prototype = {

  key: function( key ) {
    this._key = key;
    return this;
  },

  value: function( value ) {
    this._value = value;
    return this;
  },

  get: function( key ) {
    key = isset(key) || this._key;
    return localStorage.getItem( key );
  },

  set: function( key, value ) {
    this._key   = key   = isset(key)   || this._key;
    this._value = value = isset(value) || this._value;
    if ( key && value ) {
      localStorage.setItem( key, value );
    }
    return this;
  },

  addItem: function( value ) {
    this._value = isset(value) || this._value;
    if ( this._key && value !== undefined ) {
      localStorage.setItem( this._key, value );
    }
    return this;
  },

  // aliases...
  getItem: function( key ) {
    return this.get( key );
  },
  setItem: function( key, value  ) {
    return this.set( key, value );
  }
};

function isset( value ) {
  return value !== undefined ? value : false;
}

window.storage = storage;

})( window );

should help you out I've been looking for a way of extending a function in a straightforward way, like in C# extension method. , The only issue with the code following
code :
var FOO = (function() {
  var foo = {
    firstFunc: function() {
      //implement
      console.log(1);
      return this
    },
    secondFunc: function() {
      //implement
      console.log(2);
      return this
    }
  }
  return foo;
})();

FOO.firstFunc().secondFunc()

I wish this help you From the first function you can return a promise. In this example usage of setTimeout is just to demonstrate that the next function execute after the first function
code :
function array_from_firebase() {
  return new Promise(
    function(resolve) {
      setTimeout(function() {
        return resolve([1, 2, 3])
      }, 4000)
    },
    function(reject) {})
}

function calendar_create_from_array(array) {
  console.log(array);
}

array_from_firebase().then(function(resp) {
  calendar_create_from_array(resp)
})
function array_from_firebase() {
  return new Promise(

    function(resolve) {
      setTimeout(function() {
        return resolve([1, 2, 3])
      }, 5000)

    },
    function(reject) {})
}

async function calendar_create_from_array() {
  console.log('Calling function and waiting for result for 5secs....')
  let getResult = await array_from_firebase();
  console.log('Got result after 5secs', getResult)
}
calendar_create_from_array()

this will help You can, but you tried to use .toUpperCase on function. You can use it on string which will be returned by function expression. You can use IIFE to achieve this.
code :
let obj = {
  name: 'john',
};

let sayHello = function() {
  return 'hello there ' + this.name;
}.apply(obj).toUpperCase();

let sayBonjour = (function() {
  return 'Bonjour!';
})().toUpperCase();

console.log(sayHello);
console.log(sayBonjour);
