I wish this helpful for you I've got it working, I simply had to add the following tags to the web.config:
code :
  <system.webServer>
    <modules>
      <remove name="FormsAuthentication" />
      <add name="FormsAuthentication" type="System.Web.Security.FormsAuthenticationModule" />
    </modules>
  </system.webServer>
<add key="enableSimpleMembership" value="false" />
<add key="autoFormsAuthentication" value="false"/>

it fixes the issue You are creating a new authcookie with FormsAuthentication.GetAuthCookie instead of reading the one which is coming with the request. Try this:
code :
public static string ReadAuthCookie(string cookieName)
{
    HttpCookie cookie =
        HttpContext.Current.Request.Cookies[FormsAuthentication.FormsCookieName];
    FormsAuthenticationTicket ticket = FormsAuthentication.Decrypt(cookie.Value);
    return ticket.UserData;
}

should help you out 1) FormsAuthentication Class - validate user
code :
public void Login_OnClick(object sender, EventArgs args)
{
   if (Membership.ValidateUser(UsernameTextbox.Text, PasswordTextbox.Text))
   {
      FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage(UsernameTextbox.Text, NotPublicCheckBox.Checked);
   }
   else
     Msg.Text = "Login failed. Please check your user name and password and try again.";
}
if(User.Identity.IsAuthenticated)
{
    //user is logged in
}
else
{
    //user is not logged in
}

it fixes the issue You can't change its data type but you can do what you want by keeping the RegistrationId in the database as string.
code :
FormsAuthenticationTicket ticket= new FormsAuthenticationTicket(RegistrationId.ToString() ,model.Email, DateTime.Now,cookieExpiration, true,model.Email);
