it should still fix some issue Ok so the traceback started showing again (I had to: CHROME: right click > Inspect element > network > preserve log)
and then I found out that my problem was that I unknowingly deleted the MySQL database because I thought I wasn't using it. I had to then remove the SQLite db from gitignore and then re-push everything to use SQLite.

This might help you Your database on Heroku was probably empty. Did you migrate the database on Heroku after you deployed? If not it's just an empty database.
db:push solved your problem because you pushed your development database over top of the empty one, so it started working.

it fixes the issue If you deployed your app with DEBUG=True maybe the error message can help you.
Your vps admin should give to you at least a copy of your log files.. i don't see another way..

I hope this helps you . I've had the same problem with Glassfish 3.1.2 and Netbeans 7.2beta on a Windows 7 platform.
I have changed the Users permissions to Full control in the Security tab of the properties setting for the glassfish installation directory and subdirectories.
