this one helps. It might be that your 500 template is not saved in UTF-8 encoding. Since you are using Komodo Edit, try to change its encoding to utf8 in:

it should still fix some issue I have a situation where I've overrided the admin_change.html template for a given model. I've created a file such as: , Looks like I found a means to do this using this syntax.
code :
{% extends "admin/change_form.html" %}
{% block after_field_sets %}{{ block.super }}
Print my model here {{ original }}
Print foreignkey related records of my model:
{% for item in original.items_set.all %} {{ item }} {% endfor %}
{% endblock %}

this will help Sounds like you've shot yourself in the foot. Lets just pretend we aren't to blame and fix it:
code :
entry = """{%block price%}$259{%endblock%}
{%block buy%}http://www.highbeam.co.nz/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=6&product_id=116{%endblock%}
{%block info%}http://www.inov-8.co.nz/oroc280.html{%endblock%}   """

parsedentry = dict([(j[0].split(' ')[-1], j[-1]) for j in [i.partition("%}") for i in entry.split("{%endblock%}")] if j[0].split(' ')[-1]])

print parsedentry['price']

To fix the issue you can do By default Django will replace symbols like ">" and "<" with HTML entities. I imagine that making it skip escaping the HTML would remedy the situation.
code :
{% autoescape off %}
<div id="right_suggest_div" name={{ suggestion.key }}>
   {{ suggestion.text }}
   <p class="padding">Votes: {{ suggestion.votes }} </p>
 </div>

{% endautoescape %}

around this issue the problem was that i havent added the csv file folder to STATIC_DIRS. Also, while accessing any external file we need to add static befiore it like {% static "data.csv" %} after that,it starts working

should help you out As Daniel Roseman answered, I also suspect that customer.given_name is byte string; trying to encode on it cause Python try to decode it.
Another issue is that DEFAULT_WRAP_UP_MESSAGE is byte string literal.
