Setting environment varilable for daemon / root process

Setting environment varilable for daemon / root process

hop of those help? I have a daemon process running on a server that needs access to an environment variable that specifies file path information (e.g. MYPATH=/a/b/c). I know how to specify this in my .bashrc file to give me access while I'm on the interactive shell, but unclear how to make sure a value accessible to a daemon process that's running as root. , Write a script - like
code :
#!/bin/sh

export MY_VAR="some value"

exec /path/to/daemon

may help you . I've got the same problem and after a lot of struggling and trying different things, this tutorial helped me to solve the problems.
I created and successfully run the demo project. The problem for me were the paths in the config file and also using the server python version instead of creating a virtual environment for the project.

it should still fix some issue The situation you are describing sounds like something for an process control system/orchestrator like docker-compose or supervisord, which would allow you to run services in separate processes and check their state.
If you insist on staying within Go, I would suggest to read from daemon StdoutPipe periodically for new content until it's there and act upon it. But I find this solution quite hacky.
