I wish this help you Just use android:orientation="vertical" attribute in your LinearLayout. You are getting the elements aligned Horizontally as this is the default provided by android.
The code after doing so is shown below :
code :
    <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
    xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
    android:orientation="vertical"
    android:layout_width="match_parent"
    android:layout_height="match_parent"
    android:paddingLeft="@dimen/activity_horizontal_margin"
    android:paddingRight="@dimen/activity_horizontal_margin"
    android:paddingTop="@dimen/activity_vertical_margin"
    android:paddingBottom="@dimen/activity_vertical_margin"
    tools:context=".MainActivity">

    <!--<View-->
        <!--android:layout_width="wrap_content"-->
        <!--android:layout_height="30dip"/>-->
    <TextView
        android:text="@string/getVerse"
        android:layout_width="wrap_content"
        android:layout_height="100dip"
        android:textSize="@dimen/header"
        android:layout_gravity="center_horizontal"
     />

    <!--<View-->
        <!--android:layout_width="wrap_content"-->
        <!--android:layout_height="20dip"-->
     <!--/>-->
    <EditText
        android:layout_width="wrap_content"
        android:layout_height="wrap_content"
        android:layout_gravity="center_horizontal"
        android:textSize="@dimen/questionSize"
        android:hint="@string/questionHint"
        />
    <!--<View-->
        <!--android:layout_width="wrap_content"-->
        <!--android:layout_height="25dip"-->
    <!--/>-->

    <Button
        android:layout_width="wrap_content"
        android:layout_height="wrap_content"
        android:layout_gravity="center_horizontal"

hop of those help? with text-align you have to add a line with an extra element or a pseudo element to trigger text-align:justify; on single line.
code :
body {
    padding: 0;
    margin: 0;
}
#menu_header_new {
    margin-top: 2.5%;
    min-height:20%;
    width:100%;
    overflow: hidden;
    position: relative;
    border: 1px solid green;
  text-align:justify;
  font-size:0.01px;
}
#menu_header_new:after {
  content:'';
  display:inline-block;
  width:100%;
  vertical-align:top;
}
img {
  vertical-align:middle;
}
#menu_logo {
    position: relative;
    width: 20%;
    height: 10%;
    text-align: center;
}
#menu_info, #menu_settings {
    position: relative;
    width: 10%;
    height: 10%;
}

like below fixes the issue Remove float: left from the .navbar ul li rule, then apply the following CSS.
This works with the vertical-align property, which only applies to inline and inline-block elements. So we have to set all of the list items to display: inline-block and vertical-align:center to center them within the list.
code :
div.navbar div.table::before {
  content: "";
  display: inline-block;
  height: 100%;
  vertical-align: middle;
}
ul.nav {
  font-size: 0;
}
ul.nav li {
  display: inline-block;
  vertical-align: middle;
}
$(function() {
  $('ul.nav a').bind('click', function(event) {
    event.preventDefault();
    var $anchor = $(this);

    $('html, body').stop().animate({
      scrollTop: $($anchor.attr('href')).offset().top
    }, 1500);

    event.preventDefault();
  });
});
div.navbar div.table::before {
  content: "";
  display: inline-block;
  height: 100%;
  vertical-align: middle;
}
ul.nav {
  font-size: 0;
}

To fix the issue you can do CSS alone can’t align the images vertically, because the individual blocks aren’t related – one title doesn’t know how tall another is. The answer above is a reasonable stab at the problem, but not very robust, as you noticed.
You could come closer if you can use CSS Grid, but then you’d lose the wrapping behaviour of the flex row.

fixed the issue. Will look into that further For your vertical alignment of your navigation items set align-items: center; on your flex container like so:
code :
.navigation-ul {
    display: flex;
    align-items: center;
}
