I wish this help you I would suggest defining the metrics explicitly
Just add a ONE line unitSystem: google.maps.UnitSystem.METRIC in this code as follow:
code :
var travel = {
               origin : (start.coords)? new google.maps.LatLng(start.lat, start.lng) : start.address,
               destination : "<?php echo $CUpostCode; ?>",
               travelMode : google.maps.DirectionsTravelMode.DRIVING,
               unitSystem: google.maps.UnitSystem.IMPERIAL
               // Exchanging DRIVING to WALKING above can prove quite amusing :-)
},

fixed the issue. Will look into that further You can access those properties via methods on the Map class:
getZoom() getMapTypeId() getCenter() etc..

Hope this helps Found that I don't even need jQuery for this – it's already part of the Google Maps API. Simply do:
code :
map.set('draggable', true);

wish helps you There is no way to set it in the constructor, other than by calculating an exact map width, heighth and zoom level, but zoom levels are discrete values, so it might not be the exact fit that you want. If you create the map and apply map.fitBounds() immediately after that, it all happens so fast that it is perfectly transparent to the user.

this will help I get the error Uncaught InvalidValueError: setCenter: not a LatLng or LatLngLiteral: in property lat: not a number. Note that zoom is also a mandatory/required MapOption. This works for me:
code :
$(xml).find("location").each(function () {

    var lat = parseFloat($(this).find("lat").text());
    var lng = parseFloat($(this).find("lng").text());

    mapOptions.center.lat = lat;
    mapOptions.center.lng = lng;

    initialize();
});
var geocoder;
var map;
var mapOptions = {center: {}, zoom:5};

function initialize() {
    var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById('map-canvas'),
    mapOptions);
}

function parseXml(str) {
    if (window.ActiveXObject) {
        var doc = new ActiveXObject('MicrosoftXMLDOM');
        doc.loadXML(str);
        return doc;
    } else if (window.DOMParser) {
        return (new DOMParser()).parseFromString(str, 'text/xml');
    }
}
var xmlData = "<markers><location><lat>45</lat><lng>-72</lng></location></markers>";
var xml = parseXml(xmlData);

$(xml).find("location").each(function () {

    var lat = parseFloat($(this).find("lat").text());
    var lng = parseFloat($(this).find("lng").text());

    mapOptions.center.lat = lat;
    mapOptions.center.lng = lng;

    initialize();
});
html, body, #map-canvas {
    height: 500px;
    width: 500px;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0px
}
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js"></script>
<div id="map-canvas" style="border: 2px solid #3872ac;"></div>

wish help you to fix your issue You should be able to just remove the eval() call around it and it should work, assuming ngggOptions is an object and has a key for map.
