Package "Imports" not loading in R development package

Package "Imports" not loading in R development package

it helps some times That's the correct behaviour. Imports just means that code inside your package can see the functions that you import from other packages. The other packages aren't placed on the search path like with Depends.

should help you out If you switch your package representation to hierarchical (from arrow on the top-right), you can right-click the com.animal package and rename it to com.

fixed the issue. Will look into that further Adding the project directory /${PROJECT_DIR_NAME} to the project's PYTHONPATH seems to have done the trick.
Before, I only had /${PROJECT_DIR_NAME}/mypackage in the project's PYTHONPATH. So I suspect that, when using absolute imports, Eclipse was unable to find /${PROJECT_DIR_NAME}/mypackage/mypackage/mymodule and would then proceed to search in site-packages.

Absolute imports and managing both a "live" and "development" version of a package

I hope this helps you . As my limited brain has come to understand it after much reading, relative imports bad, absolute imports good. My question is, how can one effectively manage a "live" and "development" version of a package? That is, if I use absolute imports, my live code and development code are going to be looking at the same thing. , You want to use virtualenv (or something like it).
code :
$ virtualenv mydev
$ source mydev/bin/activate
$ deactivate

To fix this issue guys for the help. I did try install.packages("caret", dep="TRUE") which installed the package digest, then tried install.packages("ggplot") which installed ggplot with the dependency gtable but still had some missing packages. Did finally manage to load caret without any problems after installing the missing packages as prompted.
