wish help you to fix your issue If you're using Oracle, it looks like VALIDATE is a keyword. Try renaming the column.

help you fix your problem I am creating a trigger in which I want to update fields from another table. Please see below trigger which I have written:
code :
 create or replace trigger RE_SE_INSERT
 BEFORE INSERT OR UPDATE --create a BEFORE insert/update trigger
 ON USER FOR EACH ROW
 DECLARE
  CURSOR new_cur
  IS
    SELECT ci_no
          ,ci_name
          ,deleted
     FROM customer
     where ci_id = :new.ci_id;
   new_row  new_cur%ROWTYPE;
 BEGIN
  --update user set --remove this statement
  OPEN new_cur;
  FETCH new_cur INTO new_row;
   IF new_cur%FOUND THEN
    :new.ci_No      := new_row.ci_no;
    :new.ci_name    := new_row.ci_name;
    :new.IS_deleted := new_row.deleted;
   END IF;
  CLOSE new_cur;

END RE_SE_INSERT;

like below fixes the issue My title may be a little confusing, but this is basically what I want to do: , You are better off using update/join syntax:
code :
update Site_New sn join
       Site s
       on sn.SiteName = s.SiteName
    set sn.Address = s.Address;
update Site_New sn join
       Site s
       on sn.SiteId = s.SiteId
    set sn.Address = s.Address;

it should still fix some issue The only way I can immediately see to get that error from insert is if you're passing the column name enclosed in single-quotes; you haven't shown the call and it's unlikely you'd do this from a SQL client (more likely you added quotes incorrectly in a JDBC/PHP/etc. parameter), but calling like this:
code :
exec sp_get_all_records(6372325, '''MC1''', :detail);
INSERT INTO COUNT_MASTER_TEMP SELECT COUNT (ar.'MC1')
   FROM app_recipient ar
   WHERE EXISTS (SELECT r.'MC1' FROM app_recipient r
   WHERE r.ID =6372325 AND ar.'MC1'= r.'MC1')
ORA-01747: invalid user.table.column, table.column, or column specification
ORA-06512: at "SCHEMA.SP_GET_ALL_RECORDS", line 17
ORA-06512: at line 1
 'WHERE' ||'r.'||v_mc || '= ANY
 (SELECT ar.'||v_mc || 'FROM app_recipient ar WHERE r.ID =' || p_id || ')
 ' WHERE ' ||'r.'||v_mc || '= ANY
 (SELECT ar.'||v_mc || ' FROM app_recipient ar WHERE r.ID =' || p_id || ')
 WHERE r.'||v_mc ||'= ANY (SELECT ar.'||v_mc ||'FROM app_recipient ar WHERE r.ID =' ||v_master_id || ')';
 WHERE r.'||v_mc ||'= ANY (SELECT ar.'||v_mc ||' FROM app_recipient ar WHERE r.ID =' ||v_master_id || ')';

fixed the issue. Will look into that further Initially I had the calculated field as:
, (SUM(cteLoadFreightAgg.TOTALFREIGHT)/ COUNT(OHH.*)) AS "TotalFreight_SplitPerOrder".
