To fix this issue You need to remove those lines from the .gitignore, and add and commit your css files in your local repo.
Then you can push those files (the updated .gitignore and the css files now committed)
code :

should help you out The git message Everything up-to-date indicates that the remote branch you are pushing to is already in sync with the local branch being pushed. Hence, there is no news feed on GitHub since nothing on the remote branch changed.
If your local branch is out of sync with the remote branch, then executing:
code :
$ git status
# On branch master
# Your branch is ahead of 'origin/master' by 1 commit.
$ git push origin master

Does that help Pull from github while ssh'd into the server using the link from the github repo "copy to clipboard" button on the web interface. If that doesn't work you could try wiping the repos folder on the server and cloning from scratch. But use that option with caution if downtime is unacceptable for this particular web app.
Why is /bin/ added to .gitignore in a symfony2 project? Or is it okay for me to push /bin/ to a remote repo?

fixed the issue. Will look into that further Git is a source control system, it is not designed to handle large binaries. Not only that, but binaries are dependent on your system. Other people may not be able to run binaries you generate. Adding bin/ to the repo will slow everything down for everyone and clutter the repository. Don't do it.

hop of those help? I am a bit new in github and I am seeing something which never happened to me when using gerrit. I have a repo with three branches, let's call them ==> a,b,c. When I type , To push the local b_branch to the remote b branch, write like this:
code :
git push origin b_branch:b
git push origin branchname
git push -> code review only current change (remote.origin.push overrides push.default)

it fixes the issue I don't believe what you want to do can be done with just git currently.
I've been able to narrow it down one level further by defining remote server aliases in my config file like below, one for each branch I might want to push, but this is obviously tedious and obnoxious, and I still have to type something like git push masterrev.
code :
    [remote "origin"]
        url = ssh://gerritserver/product
        fetch = +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/*
    [remote "masterrev"]
        url = ssh://gerritserver/product
        fetch = +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/*
        push = HEAD:refs/for/master
