Cannot Access Variable From Another Class

Cannot Access Variable From Another Class

like below fixes the issue displacement is a local variable in your constructor. Therefore it won't be accessible outside the constructor.
If you want it to be accessible to other methods in the class, move it out of the constructor and make it an instance field, by saying JRadioButton displacement; above the constructor, in the same place where you declare myListener. In fact, you've already done the right thing with myListener, so you need to do the same thing with displacement.
code :
protected JRadioButton displacement;
JRadioButton displacement = new JRadioButton("Displacement");
displacement = new JRadioButton("Displacement");
 public static void main(String [ ] args) {
     new RadioButtonMain().doMain();
 }

 public void doMain() {
    if ( displacement.isSelected())
      {
//Option 1 for applet
      }

    if ( accel.isSelected()) {
        //Option 2 for applet
    }

    else {
        //Option 3 for applet
    }
    }
}

it helps some times Since you have declared struct PImpl in the private part of CDataHolder class, only friends of CDataHolder can access the same. Why don't you put a forward declaration struct PImpl in the public section or even better before the CDataHolder class?

I think the issue was by ths following , In Java, a subclass object cannot access private variables (or methods) of any super class.
In your example, pac1 class only access public functionality of class pac, such as the public default constructor & the public method test(). Since the implemnetation of these methods is defined within the super class, both can access its private funvtionality - such as the private int c.
If you override these method in subclass however, the overriding methods implementation won't be able to access class pac private functionality.
HTH.

fixed the issue. Will look into that further If I understand your question correctly, you want the class UserForm to be able to access the fields in the class ProfileView1.
First, you need a field in UserForm that references your instance of ProfileView1.
code :
public class UserForm extends JFrame implements ActionListener
{
  private ProfileView1 proView1;     //*** add this line
  JLabel albl;
public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ae)
{
     if(ae.getSource().equals(probtn))
     {
           this.proView1 = new ProfileView1();   //*** this line is changed
     }
}
String firstName = proView1.firstlbl.getText();
String gender = proView1.genlbl.getText();

This might help you In Java it is a convention to access all fields via getter/setters from outside the class. From inside the class, you usually access fields directly. However, you can also access them via getter/setter is you want to.
It is important to know that this is just a convention. Many other programming languages don't have such strict rules or other concepts. So you are not forced to do that. But it is a good practice.

hop of those help? consider the following code: , just add the car as friend to the LocomotiveEngineer class:
code :
class LocomotiveEngineer
{
public:
    bool carRepair();

private:
   std::list<int> m_screwdriver;
   std::vector<int> m_keys;

friend class Car;
}
#include <vector>
class LocomotiveEngineer; // forward declare

class Car
{
public:
  bool openCar(LocomotiveEngineer& repairmen);
}

class LocomotiveEngineer
{
public:
   bool carRepair(Car& broken_car); //specify the car whcih needs to be repaired

private:
   std::list<int> m_screwdriver;
   std::vector<int> m_keys;

friend class Car;
}
bool  LocomotiveEngineer::carRepair(Car& broken_car)
{
  broken_car.openCar(*this);
  return true;
}

bool  Car::openCar(LocomotiveEngineer& repairmen){
    repairmen.m_keys.size();             //openCar() can access m_keys
    repairmen.m_screwdriver.empty();   //openCar() can access m_screwdriver
    return true;
}
int main(){
    Car brokenCar;
    LocomotiveEngineer bob;

    bob.carRepair(brokenCar);

    return EXIT_SUCCESS;
}
