Parse Background Job Not Saving Objects

Parse Background Job Not Saving Objects

This might help you Okay I'm trying to set these objects in the user class, but for some reason it's not saving. It's very straight forward, or it seems like it should be: , Your syntax is off and you need to do pre-increment rather than post.
code :
var actionCompleted = results[i].get("ActionComplete");
var user = results[i].get("User");

var moneyLost = user.get("MoneyLost");
var daysRow = user.get("DaysInRow");
var daysWoken = user.get("DaysWoken");
var daysLate = user.get("DaysLate");

user.set("MoneyLost", moneyLost + bountyVal);
user.set("DaysInRow", ++daysRow);
user.set("DaysWoken", ++daysWoken);
user.save(null, {
    success: function(gameScore) {
        // Execute any logic that should take place after the object is saved.
        alert('New object created with objectId: ' + gameScore.id);
    },
    error: function(gameScore, error) {
        // Execute any logic that should take place if the save fails.
        // error is a Parse.Error with an error code and message.
        alert('Failed to create new object, with error code: ' + error.message);
    }
});

user.set("DaysInRow", 0);
user.set("DaysLate", ++daysLate);
user.save(null, {
    success: function(gameScore) {
        // Execute any logic that should take place after the object is saved.
        alert('New object created with objectId: ' + gameScore.id);
    },
    error: function(gameScore, error) {
        // Execute any logic that should take place if the save fails.
        // error is a Parse.Error with an error code and message.
        alert('Failed to create new object, with error code: ' + error.message);
    }
});

hop of those help? Rather than make individual requests to save each object, try using the saveAll method which will batch them:
code :
List<ParseObject> scores = new List<ParseObject>();
foreach (DataRow row in dataTable.Rows) //imagine here I am saving 1000 objects
{
      gameScore = new ParseObject("SALON");
      gameScore["NAME"] = "NAMETEMP";
      scores.Add(gameScore);
}
await ParseObject.SaveAllAsync(scores);

will be helpful for those in need The job is terminated as soon as you call status.success/error. Since the .save() is asynchronous you need to make sure your saves are also in a promises chain.
You might need some more tweaking but change your loop to look something like this
code :
var promises = [];
for(i=0; i<response.Report_Entry.length; i++) {
    costCenter = new WDCostCenter();
    costCenter.set("Name", response.Report_Entry[i].CostCenter);
    costCenter.set("RefID", response.Report_Entry[i].CostCenter_Workday_ID);
    costCenter.set("InActiveStatus", response.Report_Entry[i].InActive_Status);

    promises.push(costCenter.save().then(
        function(message) {
            console.log("Success in Process :"+ i + message );
        },
        function(error) {
            console.error("Error in Process :"+ i + error );
        })
    );
}

return Parse.Promise.when(promises);

I wish did fix the issue. For security reasons, in Parse Server, one user cannot change another user object directly from client side. If it were possible, a bad user could erase all other users data, for example.
So this operation requires you to write a cloud code function. You should have a cloud function similar to this one here:
code :
Parse.cloud.define('formerFriends', async request => {
  const query = new Parse.Query(Parse.User);
  query.notEqualTo('username', request.user.getUsername());
  query.notContainedIn('username', request.user.get('Former_friends'));
  const objects = await query.find({ useMasterKey: true });
  if (object.length > 0) {
    const aList = request.user.get('Former_friends');
    aList.add(objects[0].getUsername());
    request.user.set('Former_friends', aList);
    await request.user.save();
    const userfound = objects[0];
    userfound.set('Name', 'Any String');
    await userfound.save(null, { useMasterKey: true });
  }
});
HashMap<String, Object> params = new HashMap<String, Object>();
ParseCloud.callFunctionInBackground("formerFriends", params, new FunctionCallback<Float>() {
  void done(Object result, ParseException e) {
    if (e == null) {
      // success
    }
  }
});

will be helpful for those in need If you are using the latest version of Arduino 1.6.3 you will need to update the bridge library.
Sketch -> Include Library -> Manage Libraries -> Search for Bridge and update.
