This might help you You don't need to define a separate parameter for this, you can simply use $(this) to refer to the element on which the event is being fired, or this.id to look at its ID, and make a decision based on that within the handler:
code :
$("#s1, #s2").hover(switchFunc);

function switchFunc() {
    switch (this.id) {
        case "s1": // do something
            break;
        case "s2": // do something else
            break;
    }
}
function switchFunc() {
    if ($(this).is("#s1")) {
        // do something
    } else if ($(this).is("#s2")) {
        // do something else
    }
}

How would you define a delayed (by-name) parameter that accepts a function that takes parameters?

may help you . t does not have to be a function value. It is simply any passed-by-name value that evaluates to Unit.
When you state t in the delaying function, you're not explicitly calling the function that was passed as that parameter. By stating it, you are forcing the passed-by-name parameter to be evaluated, which means sayhello() is evaluated at that point.
code :
def say(word: String) {
  println(word)
}

def delaying(t: => Unit) {
  println("before call")
  t
  println("after call")
}

delaying(say("hello"))

like below fixes the issue Not like in a stored proc - a parameter still needs to be placed in each argument position, but you can specify that it use the default from the declaration:
code :
SELECT yourschema.yourudf(x, y, z, DEFAULT, a, b, c, DEFAULT)

will help you There is a syntax for this, where all parameters will be automatically put into a list:
code :
(define function
  (lambda lst ; no parentheses!
    lst))
define (function . lst) ; mind the dot!
    lst)
(function '(2 3) '(3 1))
=> '((2 3) (3 1))
(function '(2 3) '(3 2) '(1 5))
=> '((2 3) (3 2) (1 5))
(define (function p1 p2 p3 . lst) ; p1-3 are fixed
    (values p1 p2 p3 lst))

(function 'this 'is 'fixed '(2 3) '(3 1))
=>
'this
'is
'fixed
'((2 3) (3 1))

wish helps you Without knowing specifics about Theano, I remember that one way to turn an if-else statement into a linear equation is to make your if check into a variable itself, setting it as 0 or 1. Then, you can do something like:
code :
sign = (R_t > 0) ## this is the part I don't know how exactly to do
(topEquation * sign) + (bottomEquation * (sign ^ 1))

I wish this help you Change signature to use std::function:
code :
#include <functional>
unsigned int uiTimer(int milliseconds, std::function<int(void*)> f, void *data)
uiEditableCombobox *box;
uiTimer(1000, [=](void* data) { return filterInput(box, data); }, nullptr);
