Any of those help When doing object comparison, you must use Object.equals(Object) method. Using == or != with Objects will only return true if both Objects reference the same thing. That is why you are falling through to the else.
name.equals("") is probably what you want to use.
code :
if(name != null && !"".equals(name))
  tv.setText(name);
else
  tv.setText("Error");

hop of those help? I was hoping you would answer my questions in the comment sooner but I'm going to throw this out as a possible reason for the discrepancy you are seeing in the warning message.
Your table is defined as MULTISET with a non-unique primary index or possibly as a NOPI table in Teradata 13.x. There are no additional unique constraints on the table or unique indexes. The table has been loaded with 8 duplicate rows of data.

may help you . This example does the update first, and return the affected rows afterwards. If you don't have a COMMIT in the procedure, the rows will be locked of course.
The CARDINALITY-hint should produce a better execution plan, avoiding a full-table-scan.
code :
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE t_ids AS TABLE OF NUMBER(12);
PROCEDURE p_get_2_pending_people(p_result OUT SYS_REFCURSOR) AS
  ids     t_ids;
BEGIN
  UPDATE people
     SET status = 'pending'
   WHERE ROWNUM <= 2
   RETURNING id
   BULK COLLECT INTO ids;

  OPEN p_result FOR
  SELECT *
    FROM PEOPLE p
   WHERE p.id IN (SELECT /*+ CARDINALITY(t 2) */ COLUMN_VALUE FROM TABLE(ids) t);
END p_get_2_pending_people;

help you fix your problem I am sending a concatenated string consisting of a series Tax-Value pair to the database to split and then insert into two columns of a table. I already have a method which uses cursor but i am wondering if there is a better alternative to cursor in this case? , Is this u needed?
without changing the function:
code :
INSERT INTO sometable
            (tax,
             value)
SELECT Substring(items, 0, Charindex('|', items, 0))              AS tax,
       Substring(items, Charindex('|', items, 0) + 1, Len(items)) AS value
FROM   [Isplit]('VAT|10#CST|20#ST|30#VAT|40#WCT|50#OCT|60#FP|70#CD|80#OT|90#', '#')
ALTER FUNCTION [dbo].[ISplit](@String nvarchar(4000), @Delimiter char(1))
RETURNS @Results TABLE (SrNo int identity, tax nvarchar(4000),value numeric(22,6))
AS
BEGIN
    DECLARE @INDEX INT
    DECLARE @SLICE nvarchar(4000)
    SELECT @INDEX = 1
    IF @String IS NULL RETURN
    WHILE @INDEX !=0
        BEGIN
         SELECT @INDEX = CHARINDEX(@Delimiter,@STRING)
         IF @INDEX !=0
          SELECT @SLICE = LEFT(@STRING,@INDEX - 1)
         ELSE
          SELECT @SLICE = @STRING

         INSERT INTO @Results(tax,value)
         select Substring(@SLICE, 0, Charindex('|', @SLICE, 0)),
         Substring(@SLICE, Charindex('|', @SLICE, 0) + 1, Len(@SLICE)) AS value

         SELECT @STRING = RIGHT(@STRING,LEN(@STRING) - @INDEX)

         IF LEN(@STRING) = 0 BREAK
    END
    RETURN
END

 INSERT INTO sometable
                (tax,
                 value)
SELECT tax,value from Isplit('VAT|10#CST|20#ST|30#VAT|40#WCT|50#OCT|60#FP|70#CD|80#OT|90#', '#')

I hope this helps you . You wrote you want to update the #price table with the results from the table valued function.
You can do that by using cross apply instead of a cursor. Since you didn't post proper sample data I have no way of testing my answer, but if it does what you need it should be doing that lightning-fast compared to a cursor.
code :
DECLARE @season int = 21

UPDAET p
SET price = x.Price
FROM #Prices p
CROSS APPLY
(
    SELECT *
    FROM dbo.LFT_GET_PRICES_Seasonal(@season, order_dt) udf
    WHERE udf.perf_price_type = p.perf_price_type
    AND udf.zone_no = p.zone_no
) x
