I think the issue was by ths following , You could use MediaRecorder API for grabbing the stream and WebSockets for sending it to node.js
Here are a bit of details (link is to my own blog): https://www.webrtcexample.com/blog/?go=all/tutorial-recording-video/

it should still fix some issue I have the following code: , You have to assign the url to video.src, not the stream:
code :
navigator.webkitGetUserMedia({ video: true, audio: true }, function ( stream ) {
    video.src = window.webkitURL.createObjectURL( stream );
}, function ( err ) {
    console.log( 'error: ', err );
});
Is it possible now to use GetUserMedia API to read video stream from web camera and send it directly to server for furth

seems to work fine The PeerConnection API in WebRTC does not require a back-end server for conducting one or more connections between peers.
The only thing you need a back-end server for is to serve as a mediator for first establishing the connections between the peers. To that end, you can use the WebSocket API, Ajax, or any other means necessary to achieve that. Also, yes, you can use PHP to write the server-side for WebSocket (or whatever method you want to use to establish the peer-to-peer connection). It's really up to you.

I hope this helps . I'm trying to learn more about streaming webcams and i'm stuck at stopping the video I hope someone can help me with stopping the video , You need to use getTrack() to be able stop the stream.
code :
var videoDiv = document.getElementById("video"),
    vendorUrl = window.URL || window.webkitURL;
    navigator.getMedia =    navigator.getUserMedia ||
                            navigator.webkitGetUserMedia ||
                            navigator.mozGetUserMedia ||
                            navigator.oGetUserMedia ||
                            navigator.msGetUserMedia;

var MediaStream;
function captureWebcam(video, audio){
    navigator.getMedia({
        video: video,
        audio: audio
    }, function(stream){
        videoDiv.src = vendorUrl.createObjectURL(stream);
        MediaStream = stream.getTracks()[0]; // create the stream tracker
    }, function(error){
        // An error occured
        // error.code
        console.log(error)
    });
}
$("#stop").on("click", function(){
   // Stop the tracked stream
   MediaStream.stop()
});
$("#start").on("click", function(){
    captureWebcam(true, false)
});

I hope this helps you . The Media Recorder API is now supported by both Chrome (49+) and Firefox (30+) and it relies on getUserMedia() to access the webcam.
The video data is stored locally in a JavaScript video/webm Blob object and can be:
