How do I make a simple solid border around a FlowPane in javafx

How do I make a simple solid border around a FlowPane in javafx

around this issue I'm building a simple app in javafx, and I want to be able to add a border to a FlowPane. , There's a setBorder() method, so you can add a border to your pane:
code :
FlowPane pane = new FlowPane(10, 10);
pane.setBorder(new Border(new BorderStroke(Color.BLACK,
            BorderStrokeStyle.SOLID, CornerRadii.EMPTY, BorderWidths.DEFAULT)));
pane.setStyle("-fx-border-color: black");
FlowPane pane = new FlowPane(10, 10);
pane.getStyleClass().add("pane");

Scene scene = new Scene(pane, 300, 250);
scene.getStylesheets().add(getClass().getResource("root.css").toExternalForm());
.pane {
    -fx-border-color: black;
}

should help you out I want to draw a line using CSS 3 and place it under an element. The obvious choice for this is the border-bottom, which I set to solid. The resulting line is a little bit thicker than I want it. Is there a way I can make it thinner? , Please, at least show us your code.
What does your CSS say?
code :
border-bottom: 1px solid #000;
border-bottom: 1px dotted rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);
border-bottom: 1px solid rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2);
border-bottom: 1px dotted #eee;
border-bottom: 1px solid #ccc;
/*etc...*/

it helps some times Background
The issue you are facing is because of the default WrapLength of FlowPane, which is set at 400. This property also sets the width of the FlowPane to 400.
code :
flowPane.setPrefWrapLength(YOUR_VALUE);

hope this fix your issue All your elements inside your .form had position absolute, causing it not to have any height, this is not needed as the parent will control the positon.
code :
.form {
  top: 50%;
  left: 50%;
  transform: translate(-50%, -50%);
  position: absolute;
  border: 8px solid black;
}

.form .username {
  height: 20px;
  width: 180px;
  padding: 6px;
  margin: 10px;
  border-radius: 5px;
}

.form .password {
  height: 20px;
  width: 180px;
  margin: 10px;
  padding: 6px;
  border-radius: 5px;
}

.form #submit {
  height: 20px;
  height: 30px;
  padding: 6px;
  margin: 10px;
  display: block;
}
<div class="form">
  <form action="" method="POST">
    <input type="text" placeholder=" Please enter a username" class="username" name="username">

    <input type="password" placeholder="please enter your password" class="password" name="password">

    <input type="submit" id="submit" name="submit">
  </form>

around this issue You have to put div into div. The first div is bigger, his background is your picture, and it has got padding=10px. The second one is smaller and contains white background.
