wish helps you Unfortunately GWT won't help you in plugins - by principle, GWT assume it has all the sources needed by application. So to achieve it, you you need to go down to JSNI to discover and load plugins. Here are more details on that: How to make your GWT application plug-able?
I would also suggest looking into Apache Wave source (former Google Wave), which you also referred in your question. http://incubator.apache.org/wave/

I wish did fix the issue. See Design Pattern for implementing plugins in your application?
The answers tend to get very platform specific. It also depends on how much control of your core app data and logic the plugin must have.

should help you out It would be possible to inspect the assembly for certain things before you load it. Prior to executing code or constructing a type within the assembly, you could run through the entire set of assembly types and references using reflection, and search for "invalid" references. However, this is not going to be very effective, as you're always searching for things that are bad - when really, you need to define the operations that are good, instead, and only allow those.
The only way to cleanly enforce a different security policy for plugin is to load the plugin into a different AppDomain.

I wish this help you vendor/plugins isn't the problem here, those are only warnins. It's heroku run rake db:migrate..
possibly just heroku rake db:migrate if you're not on the Cedar stack (note migrate, not migration)

fixed the issue. Will look into that further maven-jar-plugin: This plugin provides the capability to build and sign JARs. But it just compiles the java files under src/main/java and src/main/resources/. It doesn't include the dependencies JAR files. maven-assembly-plugin: This plugin extracts all dependency JARs into raw classes and groups them together. It can also be used to build an executable JAR by specifying the main class. It works in project with less dependencies only; for large project with many dependencies, it will cause Java class names to conflict. maven-shade-plugin: It packages all dependencies into one uber-JAR. It can also be used to build an executable JAR by specifying the main class. This plugin is particularly useful as it merges content of specific files instead of overwriting them by relocating classes. This is needed when there are resource files that have the same name across the JARs and the plugin tries to package all the resource files together.
