Converting $.ajax call to $http call in angular 404 error

I hope this helps . I'm working on converting a jquery ajax call to an angular $http call, but for some reason am returning a 404 status. Here is the original jquery call. , I believe you need to append ?callback=JSON_CALLBACK to your URL.
code :
$http.jsonp('https://my.website.com/j/wkr/stafflist.php?callback=JSON_CALLBACK', {"f":"staff"})
.success(function(data, status, headers, config) {
        console.log(data);
        staffList = data;
    }).error(function(data, status, headers, config) {
        console.log(status);
});

will be helpful for those in need You just inject your own Service and Spy on the function you're calling.
code :
describe( 'Controller: myCtrl', function () {

  var myService,
      ...;

  beforeEach( inject( function ( _myService_ ) {
    ...
    myService = _myService_;
    ...
  } ) );

  it( 'should call myService.call', inject(function ($q)
  {
    var deferred = $q.defer();
    spyOn( myService, 'call' ).andReturn(deferred.promise);
    // .and.returnValue() for jasmine 2.0
    $scope.myControllerFn();
    deferred.resolve( {} ); // for success
    // deferred.reject() --> for error
    $scope.digest(); // do this if you want success/error to be executed.
    expect( myService.call ).toHaveBeenCalled();
  } );
} );

fixed the issue. Will look into that further just have a look at the docs
https://docs.angularjs.org/api/ng/service/$http
code :
$http.get('http://autoc.finance.yahoo.com/autoc',
  {dataType: 'jsonp',
   jsonp: 'callback',
   jsonpCallback: 'YAHOO.Finance.SymbolSuggest.ssCallback'}).success(function(data){ alert("yes"); });

I hope this helps . Updated: Added a working plunkr. https://plnkr.co/edit/WFecj8fFZ6z4G6mpLSCr?p=preview
Take note of the sequence that the calls are being made and the headers that are being added using your browser's dev tools.
code :
intercept(req: HttpRequest<any>, next: HttpHandler):Observable<HttpEvent<any>> {
    if (req.url.match(/api\//)) { // api call
           return http.post('/auth/silentCall', {user: 123}).pipe(switchMap((response) => {
               console.log('Service's call response');

               let clone = req.clone({ setHeaders: { 'Authorization ': tokenService.getToken() } });
               return  next.handle(clone);
           }), catchError((err) => {
               if(err instanceof HttpErrorResponse) {
                   console.log('Your logging here...');
                   let clone = req.clone({ setHeaders: { 'Authorization ': tokenService.getToken() } });
                   return  next.handle(clone);
               }

               return Observable.throw(err);
           }));
    } else {
       return next.handle(req); // call original auth request.
    }
}

This might help you You are using angular-cli proxy and still you are making http request directly to your server:
code :
return this.http.post('http://192.168.1.6:8080/Observer/GetJson', {
return this.http.post('/Observer/GetJson', {
