Does that help I think in the cropper class,before finish() you should create a new instance of Intent class instead of obtaining one by calling getintent().
Ex: Intent intent = new Intent(); intent.putExtra ()....

wish of those help According to this post data is null when you pre insert a uri. That means you already defined your output uri here:
code :
  i.putExtra(MediaStore.EXTRA_OUTPUT, output);

will help you I am trying to select a picture from the pictures allready on the device. I had this code working in a previous app but for some reason it just won't work. My onActivityResult gives a nullpointer exception when trying to set the selected image to an imageview, so i guess the Bitmap is null. I tried numerous tutorials and used that code, rewrote everything but everytime the same problem occurs. I have tried multiple devices, running android 4.4 and android 4.2.2 (so its not just a kitkat problem). , Are you sure ivMain is properly initialized?

hope this fix your issue Read My Whole Code. It is working perfectly on every Phone except Marshmallow and Lollipop. In Marshmallow and Lollipop phones Only problem is coming in data.getData() returning null only in case of Picture Captured. It is working fine if i capture Video .I have 4 cases - , As,suggested by @CommonsWare -
code :
 final Intent takePictureIntent = new Intent(MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE);
            pictureUri=getOutputMediaFileUri(MEDIA_TYPE_IMAGE);
            takePictureIntent.putExtra(MediaStore.EXTRA_OUTPUT,pictureUri);
            startActivityForResult(takePictureIntent, REQUEST_IMAGE_CAPTURE);
 case REQUEST_IMAGE_CAPTURE:

            if (resultCode==RESULT_OK){
                String picturePath="";
                String column_Name= MediaStore.Images.Media.DATA;
                if (data!=null){
                if (data.getData()!=null){
                picturePath=getPathfromUri(column_Name,data.getData());}

                else {
                    picturePath= pictureUri.getPath();

                }
                }
                else {
                    picturePath= pictureUri.getPath();

                }}

To fix this issue You've a problem in calling the startActivityForResult.
From your ActivityA you're launching ActivityB like this.
code :
startActivityForResult(chooser, 1); // The request code is 1
startActivityForResult(intent, 100); // Request code 100
startActivityForResult(intent, 100);  // Same request code 100
startActivityForResult(intent, 100);  // Request code 100
startActivityForResult(intent, 101);  // Request code 101

hop of those help? while you are capture image from the camera you have created a file for an image that is your image full path so make it globally.
code :
 Intent cameraIntent = new Intent(MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE);
if (cameraIntent.resolveActivity(getPackageManager()) != null) {
    // Create the File where the photo should go
    File photoFile = null;
    try {
        photoFile = createImageFile();
    } catch (IOException ex) {
        // Error occurred while creating the File
        Log.i(TAG, "IOException");
    }
    // Continue only if the File was successfully created
    if (photoFile != null) {
        cameraIntent.putExtra(MediaStore.EXTRA_OUTPUT, Uri.fromFile(photoFile));
        startActivityForResult(cameraIntent, REQUEST_IMAGE_CAPTURE);
    }
}
  private File createImageFile() throws IOException {
    // Create an image file name
    String timeStamp = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyyMMdd_HHmmss").format(new Date());
    String imageFileName = "JPEG_" + timeStamp + "_";
    File storageDir = Environment.getExternalStoragePublicDirectory(
            Environment.DIRECTORY_PICTURES);
    File image = File.createTempFile(
            imageFileName,  // prefix
            ".jpg",         // suffix
            storageDir      // directory
    );

    // Save a file: path for use with ACTION_VIEW intents
    mCurrentPhotoPath = "file:" + image.getAbsolutePath();
    return image;
}
    @Override
protected void onActivityResult(int requestCode, int resultCode, Intent data) {
    if (requestCode == REQUEST_IMAGE_CAPTURE && resultCode == RESULT_OK) {
        try {
            mImageBitmap = MediaStore.Images.Media.getBitmap(this.getContentResolver(), Uri.parse(mCurrentPhotoPath));
            mImageView.setImageBitmap(mImageBitmap);
        } catch (IOException e) {
            e.printStackTrace();
        }
    }
}
