wish help you to fix your issue * Update: I made 'attributes' a nested type and querying with the following query now appears to work:
code :
{
  "query" : {
      "nested" : {
        "path" : "attributes",
        "query" : {
          "term" : {
            "attributes.categories.path" : "/Airport/Hangar 1"
          }
        }
      }
  }
}

Does that help I am guessing the document is already indexed as it is analyzed. You can filter while querying that field in the document.
Refer the following document to see how to apply filters with querying.

like below fixes the issue I have a special need where in I need to query elastic search for a field say F1. F1 is not there in all documents . My search should be for missing F1 documents and F1 with some value. F1 is missing or F1 = 'A1' , Try whit this.
code :
{
    "query": {
        "filtered": {
            "query": {
                "match_all": {}
            },
            "filter": {
                "bool": {
                    "should": [
                        { "terms": { "F1": ["Some Value"] },
                        { "missing": { "field": "F1" } }
                    ]
                }
            }
         }

may help you . Flashlight actually looks for requests at search/requests/$key, which should contain a doc with fields type, index, query. It puts a response at search/response/$key with the results. If you want to test by manually adding the keys, try putting the request under another node e.g. search/requests/testkey123.
