Any of those help Specify the methods for each column in the data frame. Assume 'data' is the name of the data frame with the column name 'd' containing the 'Date' format.
Try the following:
code :
sqldf('select max(d) as MAX__Date,
              min(d) as MIN__DATE
       from data',
      method = "name__class")

I hope this helps you . I am trying to add to a date using sqldf, i know it should be simple but I can't figure out what is wrong with my date format. Using: , Passing a character variable to the date() function seems to work:
code :
df <- data.frame(a=as.Date("2010-10-01"))
df$b <- as.character(df$a)

sqldf("select date(a) from df")
# date(a)
# 1 -4672-08-24

sqldf("select date(b) from df")
# date(b)
# 1 2010-10-01

sqldf("select date(b, '+1 day') from df")
# date(b, '+1 day')
# 1 2010-10-02
df$a <- df$a + 1
df
# a b
# 1 2010-10-02 2010-10-01

GROUP BY HOUR(connectedOn)

With these it helps 1) sqlite The problem is that sqlite (the default backend) does not have a date/time type so the POSIXct values are sent and returned as raw numbers. It is not possible to know for sure whether a number returned from sqlite is supposed to represent a POSIXct value but what sqldf does is guess based on its name. Since C_DATE is POSIXct in the input it will assume that any C_DATE column returned should be converted to POSIXct so just use C_DATE as the column name rather than FTrans. Using the data shown reproducibly in the Note at the end we use:
code :
library(sqldf)
test$C_DATE <- as.POSIXct(test$C_DATE, format = "%m/%d/%y %H:%M")

sqldf("SELECT UID, MIN(C_DATE) AS C_DATE
  FROM test
  WHERE UID = 'ABC'
  GROUP BY UID")
  UID C_DATE
1 ABC 2015-10-11 09:05:00
library(RH2)
library(sqldf)

sqldf("SELECT UID, MIN(C_DATE) AS FTrans
  FROM test
  WHERE UID = 'ABC'
  GROUP BY UID")
  UID FTrans
1 ABC 2015-10-11 09:05:00
Lines <- "UID,C_DATE
ABC,10/11/15 9:05
ABC,10/11/15 20:08
DEF,10/11/15 11:37
GHI,10/11/15 20:08
JKL,10/11/15 2:46"
test <- read.csv(text = Lines, strip.white = TRUE)
test$C_DATE <- as.POSIXct(test$C_DATE, format = "%m/%d/%y %H:%M")
