should help you out Why using selector as the root tag? selector is used for applying multiple alternate drawables for different states of the view, so in this case, there is no need for selector.
Try the following code.
code :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<shape xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">

    <!-- Background Color -->
    <solid android:color="#ffffff" />

    <!-- Border Color -->
    <stroke android:width="1dp" android:color="#ff9900" />

    <!-- Round Corners -->
    <corners android:radius="5dp" />

</shape>

Hope this helps You need to use a combination of color and fillcolor. If fillcolor isn't provided, the fill defaults to the color value, so the border and fill are the same.
Here's one way to do it for your example:
code :
digraph G {
    subgraph cluster_1 {
        color=red;
        node [style=filled, color=grey];
        b0 [color=blue, fillcolor=grey]
        b0 -> b1 ;
        label = "process #2";
    }
    start -> b0;
    start [shape=Mdiamond];
}

it should still fix some issue There is a great Widget generator that could do all the job for you, it worked great for me.
You just have to pick your color and which widget you want (EditText for example) then you will get a xml file in the drawable directory, you should set this xml as the background of your Widget and your Done!
