seems to work fine The problem is that you never allocate memory for buffer in string_to_ints. Since this is undefined behavior anything can happen, includiing appearing to work when a cout is in place and not working when the cout is removed.
The simplest solution is to use std::string instead of char* for your buffer. Then you avoid doing your own memory management.

wish of those help I came across something weird today, and I was wondering if any of you here could explain what's happening... , This is all because of your code
code :
cout << s.toLower().toString() << endl << s.toUpper().toString() << endl;
cout << s.toLower().toString() << endl;
cout << s.toUpper().toString() << endl;
int i = 5;
i += ++i + i++;

this will help Streamed output is written to a buffer, and may not be written to the final destination until the stream is flushed. std::endl will insert an end-of-line, and then flush. You can insert std::flush, or call the flush() member function, to flush without inserting an end-of-line, if that's what you want.

may help you . Streaming into a string with >> reads a single word, up to a whitespace character. So you get two separate inputs, "Hello" and "world".
To read an entire line:
code :
getline(cin, input);

fixed the issue. Will look into that further If you want to use cout <<, there is a more direct way to do that.
Add this function to Line.
