I wish this help you I'm working on an Animation class for a small game engine, and for some reason the frame counter does not want to increment, it keeps stuck at 0 or 1.
code :
inline void DrawAnimation(Animation ani...
inline void DrawAnimation(Animation& ani...

BUG: PHP pre-increment and post-increment variable for array keys

BUG: PHP pre-increment and post-increment variable for array keys

I think the issue was by ths following , Above theory is wrong. In PHP arrays have higher precedence than increment/decrement. Therefore PHP executes the array keys first (that's why first element of the array key appeared as 2012) and then goes to the assignment.
In this scenario, PHP keeps array key as $currentYear value 2012 and increment by 1. Then it comes to the RHS takes $currentYear value and assigns it to the array options with the key 2012. Likewise, it continues with the iteration.

I hope this helps . I have a variable holding a number, say 1. I want it to increment to 10. After reaching 10, it should then decrement to 1. Then again it should increment. I made a solution like;
code :
for(i=0,a=1;i<20;i++,a++){
  //do something with var
  if(a==10){
    a = 1;
  }
}
In php, how do I use an increment operator in combination with a variable without it performing an increment operation?

fixed the issue. Will look into that further I have a specific date - for this example say July 6. It falls in week 27 in the year 2016. Using PHP 5.5.9 I am trying to return the 7 dates that occur in that week, using the following function: , In the line below, instead of using $i use just 1.
Your line is
code :
$ret[$i] = $dto->modify('+' . $i .  ' days')->format('Y-m-d');
$ret[$i] = $dto->modify('+1 days')->format('Y-m-d');

should help you out It does increase the variable, however it writes to the innerHTML then increments the value, You could use ++a which will increase the value before it writes to the innerHTML.
code :
var a = 14
var b = 14
console.log('before a', a)
document.getElementById("test1").innerHTML = a++
console.log('after a', a)

console.log('before b', b)
document.getElementById("test2").innerHTML = ++b
console.log('after b', b)
<div id="test1"></div>
<div id="test2"></div>

like below fixes the issue This is known to be undefined behavior. Syntactically this program is correct in C++, and the compiler produces some binary code... but the standard allows it to produce ANY code, even something that returns 100 or formats your disk. In real situations you may observe very strange abnormal scenarios, for example the compiler can drop the whole code after your (++i)++ statement, because the standard allows it to do whatever it wants right after the program enters into the status of UB. In your case that would mean that there would be no output at all (or the program would print "Hello World" instead of the integer value).
I believe that you are just conducting an experiment. The result is: both your compiler and your friend's are correct.
