Gruntfile.js task can't read package values?

help you fix your problem My guess is that it can't read your package.json file for some reason. Either because it doesn't exist (named differently perhaps?) or doesn't have read permissions. You can create a simple test to see if you can access the file from Grunt:
code :
grunt.initConfig({
    pkg: grunt.file.readJSON('package.json'),

    logvar: {
        data: '<%= pkg.name %>'
    }
});

grunt.registerTask('logvar', function() {
    grunt.log.writeln(grunt.config.get('logvar').data);
});

should help you out No need to add another target if you're registering a task to point to two targets. Just do:
code :
grunt.registerTask('basic', ['concat:one', 'concat:two']);
grunt.initConfig({
  concat: {
    one: {
      src: ['src/**/*.js'],
      dest: 'dist/<%= pkg.name %>_ac.js'
    },
    two: {
      src: ['/types/**/*.js'],
      dest: 'dist/<%= pkg.name %>_lib.js'
    },
    all: {
      src: ['<%= concat.one.src %>', '<%= concat.two.src %>'],
      dest: 'dist/<%= pkg.name %>_all.js'
    }
  }
});

will help you You can create a simple task that spawns grunt in the folder you want:
code :
grunt.registerTask('run-grunt', function () {
    var done = this.async();
    grunt.util.spawn({
        grunt: true,
        args: [''],
        opts: {
            cwd: 'app/components/jquery'
        }
    }, function (err, result, code) {
        done();
    });
});

it helps some times They implemented a new feature in version 0.4.0 to allow reloading of all Grunt configuration when the Gruntfile.js file changes. To do so, no task may be specified.
In other words, if you were to specify the tasks option, then Grunt would not reload its own configuration when changed. The way you have it, all config will be updated when Gruntfile.js itself changes.

it helps some times Okay, got this working by simply adding an entry for "files" in my "dist" task:
code :
sass: {
  options: {
    sourceMap: true
  },

  dist: {
    options: {
      outputStyle: 'compressed'
    },
    files: {
      'css/foundation.css': 'scss/foundation.scss',
      'css/nb-ckeditor.css': 'scss/nb-ckeditor.scss' // <-- THIS
    }
  }
},

hop of those help? I think that you are missing dependency on grunt-contrib-connect and call to grunt.loadNpmTasks('grunt-contrib-connect');. grunt-connect-proxy just adds proxy middleware on top of it.
