may help you . It looks like default HTML parser can't recognize as valid tag and is automatically closing it which means that content of this tag is empty.
To solve this problem instead of HTML parser you can use XML parser which doesn't care that much about tag names.
code :
doc = Jsoup.connect(URL)
      .ignoreContentType(true)
      .parser(Parser.xmlParser()) // <-- add this
      .get();

like below fixes the issue The [attributename=attributevalue] selector is an exact match. This is specified in CSS selector spec (emphasis mine):
code :
Elements infoboxes = contentDiv.select("table[class~=infobox]");
// ...
Elements infoboxes = contentDiv.select("table.infobox");
// ...

wish help you to fix your issue A non-breaking space is not the same as a normal space. Non breaking space is 0xA0 or 160 decimal in ISO-8859-*, Windows-1252, it is U+00A0 in Unicode (in UTF-8 it is encoded to 0xC2 0xA0). So depending on your exact encoding this is correct behaviour.

it helps some times Your rss feed is XML, not HTML. For this to work, you must tell JSoup to use its XMLParser. This will work:
code :
String rss = "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>"
  +"<rss><channel>"
  +  "<title>The Blog Title</title>"
  +  "<link>http://www.the.blog/category</link>"
  +"</channel></rss>";

Document doc = Jsoup.parse(rss, "", Parser.xmlParser());

Element link = doc.select("rss channel link").first();
System.out.println(link.text()); // prints empty string
