it should still fix some issue You could add something like a StatusBar to the bottom of your form instead of the MessageBox. When the export begins, you can show the information on a label on that statusbar and remove it, when the export finishes. Additionally you can add a progressbar to that statusbar which indicates the status of the export progress.

this will help We cannot explicitly set the close reason for the Process.Kill or CloseMainWindow() . The following are the close reasons available, you can chose appropriate reasons
ApplicationExitCall The Exit method of the Application class was invoked. FormOwnerClosing The owner form is closing. MdiFormClosing The parent form of this multiple document interface (MDI) form is closing. None The cause of the closure was not defined or could not be determined. TaskManagerClosing The Microsoft Windows Task Manager is closing the application. UserClosing The user is closing the form through the user interface (UI), for example by clicking the Close button on the form window, selecting Close from the window's control menu, or pressing ALT+F4. WindowsShutDown The operating system is closing all applications

With these it helps In the full framework client (WindowsAzure.ServiceBus) QueueClient does not stop message pump gracefully. Messages in flight that were not completed will have their delivery count increased.

around this issue Your code appears to be calling the JOptionPane multiple times within the for loop, and you'll want to move:
code :
if(comboBoxFrom.getSelectedItem().equals(comboBoxTo.getSelectedItem())){
private void btnConvertActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) {
    String userInput = txtField1.getText(); //userInput equals to whatever the user typed in txtField1

    // check this out *** here ***
    if(comboBoxFrom.getSelectedItem().equals(comboBoxTo.getSelectedItem())){
        JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "Cannot convert to the same unit type.",
                "Um, You Forgot Something!!", JOptionPane.INFORMATION_MESSAGE);
        return;
    }

    try{
        Double.parseDouble(userInput); //checks to see if the userInput from the txtField1 is an integer if not the catch takes control

        for(String s: UNIT_NAME){
            if((comboBoxFrom.getSelectedItem().equals(s)) && comboBoxTo.getSelectedItem().equals("Centimeters")){

will help you After lengthy research, it does not seem possible to do this. There is, however, a solution which met at least some of my requirements.
You can create a Windows Scheduled Task which is triggered on session disconnect. This allows you to run a cleanup job as the user, rather than as the administrator, which allows programs to exit gracefully.

it should still fix some issue Yes, we have an API for doing this - AppResourceGroupInfo.StartTerminateAsync():
