it fixes the issue It is not the best solution. However, it is the easiest one:
1- Change the access modifier of the status-strip label to public.
code :
((ActualMdiParentFormType) this.MdiParent).statusStripLabel.Text = "Value";

Does that help You need to add image as a resource for the Application. If you add it simply as a file link e.g. C:\somelocation as soon as that changes you loose teh image.
If its added as a resource then it is inculded with the build and always present for the Application.

should help you out The order matters when the controls are placed on the form. To correct that, you can use the Bring-To-Front and Send-To-Back methods.
While in the designer, right mouse-click the StatusStrip control and select the Send-To-Back option, or alternatively, select the panel control, and select the Bring-To-Front option.

I think the issue was by ths following , You have multiple options to update status:
Inject an Action in the user control Create a StatusUpdate event in the user control You also can access the control using hierarchy of controls, for example in the user control this.ParentForm is your parent form and you can find the target control using Controls collection or by making it public in the form.
code :
[DesignerSerializationVisibility(DesignerSerializationVisibility.Hidden)]
public Action<Point> StatusUpdate{ get; set; }

//Don't forget to assign the method to MouseMove event in your user control
private void UserControl1_MouseMove(object sender, MouseEventArgs e)
{
    if (StatusUpdate!= null)
        StatusUpdate(e.Location);
}
private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
    this.userControl11.StatusUpdate= p => this.toolStripStatusLabel1.Text=p.ToString();
}
public event EventHandler<MouseEventArgs> StatusUpdate;
public void OnStatusUpdate(MouseEventArgs e)
{
    var handler = StatusUpdate;
    if (handler != null)
        handler(this, e);
}

//Don't forget to assign the method to MouseMove event in your user control
private void UserControl1_MouseMove(object sender, MouseEventArgs e)
{
    OnStatusUpdate(e);
}
//Don't forget to assign the method to StatusUpdate event in form
void userControl11_StatusUpdate(object sender, MouseEventArgs e)
{
    this.toolStripStatusLabel1.Text = e.Location.ToString();
}
