seems to work fine You can't use percentages for the border-width but you can use a rotated pseudo element to make the slanted top border :
code :
li {
  float: left;
  position: relative;
  margin-right: 10px;
  list-style: none;
  overflow: hidden;
  padding-top: 8px;
}
li a {
  display: block;
  background: #a1a8ad;
  padding: 5px 12px;
  color: #000;
  height: 20px;
  text-decoration: none;
}
li:before {
  content: "";
  position: absolute;
  top: 0;
  right: 0;
  width: 150%;
  height: 30px;
  background: #a1a8ad; /* razorblade color */
  -webkit-transform-origin: 100% 0;
  -ms-transform-origin: 100% 0;
  transform-origin: 100% 0;
  -webkit-transform: rotate(-2deg);
  -ms-transform: rotate(-2deg);
  transform: rotate(-2deg);
  z-index: -1;
}
<nav>
  <ul>
    <li><a href="#">Home</a>
    </li>
    <li><a href="#">About Us</a>
    </li>
  </ul>
</nav>

CSS responsive slanted edge

CSS responsive slanted edge

I hope this helps you . This should work for you. Again, I've used a pseudo element in order to alter the color, but the general consensus is the same. Both the linked question and this use overflow:hidden on the parent and hence won't scroll. As for rotating, since I've used a pseudo element, this should not be an issue:
code :
.wrap {
  height: 500px;
  width: 100%;
  display: inline-block;
  position: relative;
  overflow: hidden;
  z-index: 8;
}
.wrap:after {
  content: "";
  position: absolute;
  height: 130%;
  width: 100%;
  transform: skewY(-4deg);
  background: tomato;
  top: -50%;
  z-index: -2;
  left: 0;
}
.lower {
  position: absolute;
  bottom: 15%;
  right: 0;
}
<div class="wrap">
  Hello, World!
  <div class="lower">Wanted text here?</div>
</div>

To fix the issue you can do There are many ways to create the shape with a slanted edge only on one side.
The following methods cannot support dynamic sizes as already mentioned in the question:
code :
$(document).ready(function() {
  $('#increasew-vector').on('click', function() {
    $('.vector').css({
      'width': '150px',
      'height': '100px'
    });
  });
  $('#increaseh-vector').on('click', function() {
    $('.vector').css({
      'width': '100px',
      'height': '150px'
    });
  });
  $('#increaseb-vector').on('click', function() {
    $('.vector').css({
      'width': '150px',
      'height': '150px'
    });
  });
})
div {
  float: left;
  height: 100px;
  width: 100px;
  margin: 20px;
  color: beige;
  transition: all 1s;
}
.vector {
  position: relative;
}
svg {
  position: absolute;
  margin: 10px;
  top: 0px;
  left: 0px;
  height: 100%;
  width: 100%;
  z-index: 0;
}
polygon {
  fill: tomato;
}
.vector > span {
  position: absolute;
  display: block;
  padding: 10px;
  z-index: 1;
}
.vector.top > span{
  height: 50%;
  width: 100%;
  top: calc(40% + 5px); /* size of the angled area + buffer */
  left: 5px;
}
.vector.bottom > span{
  height: 50%;
  width: 100%;
  top: 5px;
  left: 5px;
}
.vector.left > span{
  width: 50%;
  height: 100%;

}

wish of those help How could I style a div to like the below image? , You can use half triangle with the pseudo element.
code :
.container {
  padding: 20px;
  background-color: #F8F8F8;
  max-width: 200px;
}
.rectangle {

like below fixes the issue Flex is indeed the way to go (display:table/table-cell for older browsers)
For the slanted corners, you may use border or linear bg gradients.
code :
.slant-tabs {
  border: solid 2px black;
}

.nav {
  display: flex;
  overflow: hidden;
}

.slant-tabs li {
  flex: 1;
  position: relative;
  float: left;
  background: #cccccc;
  padding-bottom: 0px
}

a:before,
a:after {
  height: 45px;
  width: 45px;
  z-index: 0;
}

.slant-tabs li a:before {
  content: '';
  position: absolute;
  right: 100%;
  top: 0;
  background: linear-gradient(-45deg, #ccc calc(50% - 2px), transparent calc(50% - 2px));
}

.slant-tabs li:not(:last-child) {
  margin-right: 45px;
}

.slant-tabs li a:after {
  content: '';
  position: absolute;
  left: 100%;
  top: 0;
  background: linear-gradient( 135deg, #ccc calc(50% - 2px), transparent calc(50% - 2px));
  z-index: 1
}

.slant-tabs li a {
  text-decoration: none;
  line-height: 40px;
  padding: 0 8px !important;
}

.slant-tabs li a:hover {
  background-color: #cccccc;
  color: gray!important
}

.slant-tabs li a:hover:before {
  background: linear-gradient( -45deg, #f2f2f2 calc(50% - 2px), transparent calc(50% - 2px));
}

.slant-tabs li a:hover:after {
  background: linear-gradient( 135deg, #f2f2f2 calc(50% - 2px), transparent calc(50% - 2px));
}

.slant-tabs li.active a {
  background-color: #cccccc;
  color: #fff;
}
<link href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.7/css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet" />
<div class="container">
  <div class="slant-tabs">
    <ul class="nav">
      <li class="active">
        <a href="#description" data-toggle="tab">
          <span>Description</span>
        </a>
      </li>
      <li>
        <a href="#specification" data-toggle="tab">
          <span>Specification</span>

        </a>
      </li>
      <li>
        <a href="#avail" data-toggle="tab">
          <span>Availacoes</span>
        </a>
      </li>
    </ul>

    <div class="tab-content clearfix">
      <div class="tab-pane active" id="description">
        <h3>Content's background color is the same for the tab</h3>
      </div>
      <div class="tab-pane" id="specification">
        <h3>We use the class nav-pills instead of nav-tabs which automatically creates a background color for the tab
        </h3>
      </div>
      <div class="tab-pane" id="avail">
        <h3>We applied clearfix to the tab-content to rid of the gap between the tab and the content</h3>
      </div>
    </div>
  </div>

I wish did fix the issue. Here's my jsFiddle.
The slant div is responsive. In my case, I used pseudo element like :after. :)
code :
*, *:before, *:after {
  box-sizing: border-box;
  margin: 0;
  padding: 0;
}

.slantedDivA{ width: 100%;
text-align: center;
font-size: 36px;
padding: 10% 25px;
background: gray;
color: #fff;
position: relative; }

.slantedDivA:after{ content: "";
border-left: 99.58vw solid gray;
border-top: 20px solid transparent;
border-bottom: 43px solid transparent;
bottom: -43px;
position: absolute;
left: -10px; }
    <div class="slantedDivA">
  <div class="test">Hello</div>
</div>
