To fix this issue The index that you should be thinking about for this query is Orders(OrderNumber, DealerNumber, [Time]).
However, I am not sure why the first version would be so fast and the second so slow. Here are three possibilities:

To fix the issue you can do I don't see that there is much to consider that you haven't already covered.
If it is truly CPU-bound then adding threads beyond the number of cores doesn't help you much except if you are going to have a lot of requests. In that case the listen queue may or may not meet your needs and it might be better to have some threads to accept the connections and queue them up yourself. Checkout the listen backlog values for your system and experiment a bit with the number of threads.

this will help Even if you do not "need" a primary key it is good to have a primary key because it facilitates manipulation.
Since you are going to be using cron in the backend, you might want to check the at command which allows background tasks to be scheduled. You might find that you do not need a table at all and just leave it to the OS to queue, trigger see what can be done and execute it. You can specify queues from a-z where higher letters run with a higher niceness, i.e. they will steal less CPU from other processes, keeping your website more responsive.

I think the issue was by ths following , Different approach that may be viable for your application: don't query the messages table at all when the user isn't explicitly requesting any content, e.g. when he's not in the "messages" section of your game.
try extending your user table with integer valued columns indicating how many messages are there and how many are read already. Every time you modify the message table, you also modify the corresponding value in the user table.
Whats the different between source table and LASR Server table?

fixed the issue. Will look into that further LASR is SAS's previous-gen in-memory analytics engine that can either be distributed or single-server. When you load a CSV into LASR, it is converted into a special format and stored on the LASR analytic server. If you have a distributed setup, your data is distributed in-memory among your worker nodes.
You can access your data via the SASIOLA engine and a data step and use it just like any other SAS engine. High Performance procedures such as PROC HPSUMMARY, PROC HPLOGISTIC, and PROC HPDS2will take advantage of tables in LASR and perform very fast calculations on them. PROC IMSTAT can create statistical models in-memory, among other things.

wish help you to fix your issue It is not usually a good (security) idea to expose IDs to end-users.
I would use a normal +1 autoincrement ID column, and have the user-visible order number be a string based off the current date. Maybe use date + number of orders so far today: "20080919336".
