Javascript function doesn't appear to run?

fixed the issue. Will look into that further I'm trying to call a function from an image in my HTML, wondering if anyone could shed some light on why the function does not appear to be running? , Do check your conditional statements properly:
code :
if (document.getElementById('question1').value.toUpperCase() == "GROUNDHOG DAY"){
    correct = (correct +1);
if document.getElementById('question1').value.toUpperCase() = "GROUNDHOG DAY"{
    correct = (correct +1);

hope this fix your issue Create the form that does a postback and submits the data without JavaScript then set the click event on the submit button to call your javascript function. Then use e.peventDefault() and e.stopPropagation() in the click event to prevent postback.
You may also need to capture the enter key press event and prevent it from causing a post back as well.

like below fixes the issue It's generally a bit of a mess but I've tried to fix as much as possible.
code :
function createList(ParentDivID,SelectMenuID,ListMenuID) {
        var options = $("#" + SelectMenuID).find("option");
        var ul = $('<ul>', {id: ListMenuID});
            ul.append('<li>' +
            $(this).text() + '<span class="value">' +
            $(this).val() + '</span></li>');
        $('#' + ParentDivID)
            .children('#' + ListMenuID)
            .click(function() { ul.slideToggle(); });
        $("#" + SelectMenuID).hide();

fixed the issue. Will look into that further Try this....
Use escape character for passing string value in javascript function call on click
code :
echo '<td class="td"><img src="'.$bild['Bilderpfad'].'" alt="'.$bild['Bildtitel'].'" class="GalerieBilder" onclick="anzeigen(\''.$bildpfad.'\')" onMouseOver="cursorChange('.$counterForID.')" id="'.$counterForID.'"></img></td>';

With these it helps You need to change element_name to element_text and it will add the new fields. Or pass that variable to creation if you want to use name. You will need to add a counter to keep track the new editable divs unique ids as well. This is a fully functioning answer.
code :
var count = 1;

function AMPLIFYER() {
  CREATION("DIV", "DIVTHAT", "Write Here.");

function CREATION(element, element_id, element_text) {
  var element_a = document.createElement(element);
  element_a.setAttribute("id", element_id + count);
  if (element_text == "EDIT") {
    element_a.setAttribute('onclick', "EDITTHIS(" + count + ")")
  if (element_text == "DONE") {
    element_a.setAttribute('onclick', "ENDTHIS(" + count + ")")
  var element_text = document.createTextNode(element_text);

function moveAddBtn() {
  var element = document.getElementById("MULTIPLY!");
  var linebreak = document.createElement("br");

function EDITTHIS(x) {
  let editDiv = document.getElementById('DIVTHAT' + x)
  editDiv.contentEditable = 'true';
  editDiv.style = 'background:yellow';

function ENDTHIS(x) {
  let editDiv = document.getElementById('DIVTHAT' + x)
  editDiv.contentEditable = 'false';
  editDiv.style = 'background:palegreen';

  color: Black;
  font-size: 45px;
  margin-top: 50px;

wish of those help I am trying to change some attributes when a button is pressed using Javascript. The thing is I can use console.log and it displays the data. Here's my function and HTML , You're re-enabling the same button:
code :
if(e.getAttribute('id') == 'expanded-button'){
// −−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  let expanded = document.getElementById('expanded-button');
  // −−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
if(e.getAttribute('id') == 'expanded-button'){
// −−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  let expanded = document.getElementById('reversed-button');
  // −−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
function change(e){
  e.disabled = true;
  e.innerText = 'Active';
  e.nextElementSibling.checked = true;
  var otherId = e.id === 'expanded-button' ? 'reversed-button' : 'expanded-button';
  var other = document.getElementById(otherId);
  other.innerText = 'Activate';
  other.disabled = false;
  other.nextElementSibling.checked = false;
<button type="button" onclick="change(this)" id="expanded-button" disabled>
<input type="checkbox" checked>
<button type="button" onclick="change(this)" id="reversed-button">
<input type="checkbox">
