Creating a popup options menu in a contextual action bar

Creating a popup options menu in a contextual action bar

With these it helps Apparently I missed the built in feature of the CAB - a built in overflow menu that collapses some of the actions' items once the screen is too small to show them all.
Another manipulation that needs to be done in order to always collapse certain actions under that overflow menu is to set for each one of them:
code :
android:showAsAction="never"
app:showAsAction="never"

<menu xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:mm="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto">

To fix this issue I have an Activity with a Fragment containing a ListView with items, on which the user can click and invoke the Contextual Action Mode. , Solution to this was to add
code :

true

Hope that helps I have an Activity with a Fragment which contains a ListView of Students. When I long press I wanted to show an Action menu visually overtaking Action Bar. I was able to show the menu, however, its position is not overtaking the action bar. See the image 1, I wanted to something like in image 2. , In your AppTheme.NoActionBar add this:
code :

true

@color/colorPrimary

I wish this helpful for you Rather than using the TrackPopupMenu function (which doesn't return a handle to the created menu), you can explicitly create and show a new CMFCPopupMenu.
Without knowing the full details of your implementation, you would do something like this:
code :
void MyClass:OnShowPopup(int Xpos, int Ypos) { // Xpos and Ypos are top-left corner
    CMDIFrameWndEx* frame = dynamic_cast<CMDIFrameWndEx *>(AfxGetMainWnd()); // Main frame
    CMenu menu; menu.LoadMenu(IDM_MYPOPUP_ID); // Load from resources - or something
    CMFCPopupMenu *pPop = new CMFCPopupMenu; // New popup menu
    pPop->Create(this, Xpos, Ypos, menu.m_hMenu, FALSE, TRUE);
    CRect rc; pPop->GetWindowRect(&rc); // Here you have the popup menu's rectangle!!
    frame->OnShowPopupMenu(pPop); // This will activate the menu.
}

should help you out You can inflate your own menu and then hide all the items that OS inserts.
First, keep track of all the IDs for your menu items:
