Git: do not create index.lock for read-only operations

Git: do not create index.lock for read-only operations

will be helpful for those in need What is about using "GIT_INDEX_FILE" environment variable to make the git to use another index file?
So, to create a new index file from HEAD use
code :
GIT_INDEX_FILE=.git/other-index git reset
GIT_INDEX_FILE=.git/other-index git status
cp .git/index .git/other-index # or maybe just "ln" once, rather than copying everytime?
GIT_INDEX_FILE=.git/other-index git status

I wish this helpful for you
if a read request comes through while the write operation is still in progress on the other 2 instances, would the read be allowed or blocked

this one helps. Instead of using a conflict detection concurrency control mechanism, such a relying on unique constraints or optimistic locking, you can use pessimistic locking.
You need to have:
code :
InvoiceSequence invoiceSequence = em.find(InvoiceSequence.class, 1L, LockModeType.PESSIMISTIC_WRITE)
String currentSequence = invoiceSequence.getValue();
String nextSequence = sequenceGenerator.nextValue(currentSequence);
invoiceSequence.setValue(nextSequence);

I wish did fix the issue. git rm is used for removing files in the working directory that are being tracked by the version control system. The lock file is not part of your project so you should remove it the same way you’d remove any file on your system, e.g., using the rm command.

it helps some times It seems your filesystem has just damaged for some reason, and the OS remounted with read-only. You may try to reboot your system.

Hope this helps By default create index is a blocking DDL statement. Which means it can't start if there are outstanding transactions against the base table.
You can verify this by running:
code :
create table t (
  c1 int
);

insert into t values ( 1 );
create index i on t ( c1 );

ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified or timeout expired
create index i on t ( c1 )
