should help you out There's lots of little things in randomQuote that need to be fixed.
There's no need for the 2nd use of Array(...).
code :
func randomQuote(){
    //Make an array from database keys
    var authorArray = Array(database.keys)

    //Pick a random author
    let author = authorArray[Int(arc4random_uniform(UInt32(authorArray.count)))]

    //Make an array from values based on the author we've picked
    let quoteArray = database[author]!

    //Pick a random quote from the choses author
    let quote = quoteArray[Int(arc4random_uniform(UInt32(quoteArray.count)))]

    print(author)
    print(quote)
}

Hope this helps
However, one of the column for composite key should allow multiple inactive records, but should not allow two entries with active records.

wish help you to fix your issue Use ANY to to test if the jsonb array contains any of the right values, which can be an array or a subquery, using your sqlfiddle example
code :
SELECT *
FROM tableA
WHERE (data->'sequence') @> ANY(SELECT (data_id::TEXT)::JSONB FROM tableB)
SELECT tableA.*
FROM tableA
JOIN LATERAL (
  SELECT ARRAY_AGG(v::INT) y
  FROM JSONB_ARRAY_ELEMENTS_TEXT(data->'sequence') v
) x ON TRUE
WHERE x.y && '{123, 456}'
select *
from tableA
where (data->'sequence') @> '[456]'
   or (data->'sequence') @> '[123]'

I hope this helps you . I have an array in the following format that has x and y values with a data field and I am looking to convert into an array that adds up all the individual value over a specific data, and then shows a cumulative value (summing over that date and then adding the value to the previous dates). Eg.
code :
data_array = [
{xvalue: 10, yvalue: 5, date: "12/2"},
{xvalue: 10, yvalue: 5, date: "12/4"},
{xvalue: 8, yvalue: 3, date: "12/3"},
{xvalue: 10, yvalue: 5, date: "12/2"},
{xvalue: 6, yvalue: 1, date: "12/3"},
{xvalue: 20, yvalue: 3, date: "12/2"},
];
var reduced =  data_array.reduce(function(final,item){
  if(final[item.date]){
    final[item.date] = {cummxvalue: item.xvalue+final[item.date].cummxvalue, cummyvalue: item.yvalue+final[item.date].cummyvalue, date: item.date};
  }else{
    final[item.date] = {cummxvalue: item.xvalue, cummyvalue: item.yvalue, date: item.date};
  }
return final;
},{});
var new_data = Object.values(reduced);
console.log(new_data);
