2) At an admin command prompt, in the same directory as procdump, type this:

This might help you Turns out, the workflow was not being hosted in its own worker process, as I had thought. Another app was crashing the process. The WCF service was correctly configured to use its own worker process, hence it would correctly return, but to a no longer running app.

it fixes the issue To use the tools, you need to run then as the same user as the service. If you don't want this security feature, you need to set up JMX for the server will allow remote access (which will also work on the same box as a different user)
If you use taskmgr to create a low level memory dump you will have trouble finding any tools which can make sense of the output. You need to use a Java tool to trigger the dump.

it helps some times 1) One simple way to dump memory when application crashes is by using windows taskmanager. When ever an exception or an application error occurs windows pops up an memory dialog and shows the address location which was causing a crash.Before you click ok on the message box open Task Manger and right click on the crashed application and select Create Dump file.Take a look at the screen shot below.
