it helps some times Simply Put: Apache is listening on 443 but there are no VirtualHosts (websites) defined on that port. (See /etc/apache2/ports.conf):
code :
NameVirtualHost *:80
Listen 80

<IfModule mod_ssl.c>
    NameVirtualHost *:443
    Listen 443
</IfModule>

<IfModule mod_gnutls.c>
    NameVirtualHost *:443
    Listen 443
</IfModule>
ln -s /etc/apache2/sites-available/default-ssl 000-default-ssl
/etc/init.d/apache2 restart
NameVirtualHost *:80
Listen 80

<IfModule mod_ssl.c>
    # NameVirtualHost *:443
    # Listen 443
</IfModule>

<IfModule mod_gnutls.c>
    # NameVirtualHost *:443
    # Listen 443
</IfModule>

hop of those help? No, you can't mix VirtualHosts with "classic" configuration. You could listen on another port and define another VirtualHost (*:8080 for example) "emulating" your previous "localhost" going to your general DocumentRoot declaration.
Something like this:
code :
Listen 80 (already declared elsewhere)
Listen 8080
NameVirtualHost *:80
NameVirtualHost *:8080

<VirtualHost *:80>
  ServerName mysite.local
  ...
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost *:8080>
  ServerName localhost
  DocumentRoot /same/as/the/classic/one/
  ...
</VirtualHost>
NameVirtualHost *:80 has no VirtualHosts

Does that help Somewhere in your configuration, probably in the Apache default configuration file (I think /etc/apache2/httpd.conf in Ubuntu? someone can correct me in the comments), is a line that looks like:
code :
NameVirtualHost *:80

# Also
Listen 80
Listen 443
Listen 111.111.111.111:80
Listen 222.222.222.222:80
# If also using SSL
Listen 111.111.111.111:443
Listen 222.222.222.222:443

NameVirtualHost 111.111.111.111:80
NameVirtualHost 222.222.222.222:80
Apache Virtual host warning: NameVirtualHost *:8081 has no VirtualHosts

I hope this helps you . Somehow default file of Apache was not having a symbolic link to sites-enabled. Path is mentioned below for reference.
code :
/etc/apache2/sites-available/default was not pointing to /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default.

To fix the issue you can do The parameter to "homepage" needs to actually start with a protocol, e.g. "http". Try replacing what you currently have for the "homepage" with something like this:
code :
"homepage": "http://website.com"
NameVirtualHost 0.0.0.0:80 has no VirtualHosts

NameVirtualHost 0.0.0.0:80 has no VirtualHosts

wish helps you If my suspicions are right, and your system has recently been updated, you are now using Apache 2.4 instead of 2.2, just like many other users who just (got) moved to the new Ubuntu 13.10 version. (If you haven't changed to Apache 2.4 already, now is probably a good time to update your new *.conf files anyway.)
Here is a very good explanation about how to make named-based VirtualHosts work in Apache 2.4: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/vhosts/name-based.html
