With these it helps If you're using iTerm2 you can use sjl/vitality.vim plugin which should work(ie restore FocusLost/FocusGained functionality) out of the box (according to the README, I can't try it out).
The akracun/vitality.vim fork provides the functionality for other terminals (xterm/uxterm according to the commit logs, though it works flawlessly on gnome-term for me).
code :
au VimEnter,WinEnter,BufWinEnter,FocusGained,CmdwinEnter * setlocal cursorline
au WinLeave,FocusLost,CmdwinLeave * setlocal nocursorline

may help you . As you know, C-b is the default prefix in tmux. C-b C-b is used to send an actual C-b character to the terminal. If you switch the prefix to C-a, you just need to rebind some keys to update which one sends the send-prefix command.
For your .tmux.conf:
code :
# You probably already put this in
set prefix C-a

unbind-key C-b
bind-key C-a send-prefix

may help you . There is a variable for that, which doesn't seem to be in the manpage but is mentioned in the development version. For me, it works in the 1.8 release of tmux.
code :
set -g status-left "#{pane_current_path}"
setw -g window-status-format "#{pane_current_path}".

To fix the issue you can do Is there a way to exit the current tmux session from with a pane within this session by using a command line command instead of using the tmux keyboard shortcuts? , Yes run "tmux kill-session" or "tmux kill-server" to kill them all.
