this will help The first time you display the form, lblAge is null (still no form submit). Only after you submit the form lblAge will be filled.
code :
if (request.getMethod().equalsIgnoreCase("POST")) {
    ...

Hope this helps The dot layout engine doesn't support the pos attribute.
To render a graph with positions of all nodes predefined, you should use neato or fdp with the -n option.
code :
dot -Tpdf -Kpdf -n -O filename.dot
fdp -Tpdf -n -O filename.dot
digraph G{
subgraph cluster0{
label = "Cluster 0"
{rank=same; a->b;}
}
subgraph cluster1{
label = "Cluster 1"
{rank=same; c->d; }
}

a -> c [style=invis];
}

will help you The problem is with the way you have used %2.f in your code,
%2.f gives you the rounded value of the answer in 2 number format. If any of your answer is less than or equals to 0.5 . then you get 0 as the answer.
code :
float sqft = ([textfield1.text floatValue]);
float thick= ([textfield2.text floatValue]);
float cos = ([textfield3.text floatValue]);
float eff = ([textfield4.text floatValue]);

float num = ((thick*.5)*sqft)/eff;
float cost = (num*cos);
float costft = (cost/sqft);

label1.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%2f",num];
label2.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%2f",cost];
label3.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%2f",costft];

around this issue How to send attribute? What you are doing to send the attribute (using request.setAttribute and then using dispatch.forward is correct. Assuming you have just created one new servlet named Servlet2 within the same project and have configured it correctly in web.xml, you should be able to get the attribute in that servlet's GET or POST method.
I believe that you are running into issues because you are modifying the response, which should be done by Servlet2 and not Servlet1. Remove the following lines from your code
code :
 response.setContentType("text/html");
 response.getWriter();

will be helpful for those in need It turns out that the problem was not in the code, nor was it as a result of a buffer/memory problem.
Internal "Print Engine" settings needed adjusting.

I think the issue was by ths following , I get an error on this application that keeps users on a BD via a button on the index.html page that calls the servlet by clicking on POST. I would greatly appreciate a solution for a long time I'm trying to find the error causes. I think the error should be the time to put some notes or did not find the servlet. , Your stack trace tells you're using Tomcat.
