32-bit unicode in python

this one helps. The python How To Unicode clearly mentions the use of '\U' to represent 32-bit unicode sequences.
code :
>>> "Δ"                          # Using a 16-bit hex value
'Δ'
>>> "\U00000394"                      # Using a 32-bit hex value
'Δ'
>>> '\U00001000'
'က'

will be helpful for those in need The syntax for Unicode strings changed from 2 to 3. Try specifying a Unicode string like this:
code :
u'c:\\path\\somewhere'
from __future__ import unicode_literals

I hope this helps . It is a bug in the re module and it is fixed in the regex module:
code :
# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-
from __future__ import unicode_literals
import unicodedata
import re
import regex # $ pip install regex

word = "किशोरी"

def test(re_):
    assert re_.search("^\\w+$", word, flags=re_.UNICODE)

print([unicodedata.category(cp) for cp in word])
print(" ".join(ch for ch in regex.findall("\\X", word)))
assert all(regex.match("\\w$", c) for c in ["a", "ि", "क"])

test(regex)
test(re)  # fails

this will help I can't say from your example exactly what is wrong, but this error occurs in Python 2.X when comparing a Unicode string to a byte string. Python 2.X attempts to implicitly convert the byte string to Unicode using the default ascii codec. If that fails, due to the byte string containing non-ASCII bytes, that warning occurs:
code :
Python 2.7.9 (default, Dec 10 2014, 12:24:55) [MSC v.1500 32 bit (Intel)] on win32
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> u'pingüino' == 'pingüino'
__main__:1: UnicodeWarning: Unicode equal comparison failed to convert both arguments to Unicode - interpreting them as
being unequal
False
Python 3.3.5 (v3.3.5:62cf4e77f785, Mar  9 2014, 10:35:05) [MSC v.1600 64 bit (AMD64)] on win32
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> 'pingüino' == b'pingüino'
  File "<stdin>", line 1
SyntaxError: bytes can only contain ASCII literal characters.
>>> 'pingüino' == b'ping\xfcino'.decode('latin1')
True
>>> 'pingüino'.encode('latin1') == b'ping\xfcino'
True

I wish this help you unicode_escape treats the input as Latin-1 encoded; any bytes that do not represent a Python string literal escape sequence are decoded mapping bytes directly to Unicode codepoints. You gave it UTF-8 bytes, so the cyrillic characters are represented with 2 bytes each where decoded to two Latin-1 characters each, one of which is U+00D0 Ð, the other unprintable:
code :
>>> print repr('АБВ="res')
'\xd0\x90\xd0\x91\xd0\x92="res'
>>> print repr('АБВ="res'.decode('latin1'))
u'\xd0\x90\xd0\x91\xd0\x92="res'
>>> print 'АБВ="res'.decode('latin1')
ÐÐÐ="res
>>> print 'АБВ="res'.decode('unicode_escape')
ÐÐÐ="res
>>> print 'АБВ="res'.decode('unicode_escape').encode('latin1').decode('utf8')
АБВ="res
>>> import codecs
>>> codecs.decode('АБВ="res', 'unicode_escape').encode('latin1').decode('utf8')
'АБВ="res'
