around this issue In JPQL, we make use of classes and variable to generate query, instead of table name and column name. You will get detailed information about this from Google.
code :
select status from KM_ProjectInfoStatus status order by status.idProjectInfoStatus

How to Assign a JPQL query to a simple Java object?

How to Assign a JPQL query to a simple Java object?

like below fixes the issue I need to assign the result of a jpql result to a simple class java object , The question is extremely unclear. So here is a vague answer:
code :
EntityManagerFactory emf = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("MyPu");
EntityManager em = emf.createEntityManager();
Query q = em.createQuery("select f.id, f.name from Foo f");
List<Object[]> foos = (List<Object([]>)q.getResultList();

MyObject o = new MyObject();

To fix this issue You appear to be mapping these as single standalone entities. If you map the relationships between entities then you should be able to do most of your queries by simply calling a get method (no jpql required)
code :
@Table(name = "PERSON")
public class Person {

    @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.IDENTITY)
    @Column(name = "person_id")
    private Long id;

    @Column(name = "name", unique = true)
    private String name;

    @ManyToMany(mappedBy = "persons", cascade=CascadeType.ALL)
    private Collection<Function> functions;

    // .. getters and setters

@Table(name = "FUNC")
public class Function {

    @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.IDENTITY)
    @Column(name = "function_id")
    private Long id;

    @Column(name = "name")
    private String name;

    @JoinTable(name = "PERSON_FUNC",
    joinColumns = {@JoinColumn(name = "function_id", referencedColumnName = "id")},
    inverseJoinColumns = {@JoinColumn(name = "person_id", referencedColumnName = "id")})
    private Collection<Person> persons;

    // .. getters and setter
select distinct f from Function f inner join f.persons p where p.name = "Stefan"

like below fixes the issue The following query that is working perfectly fine when I am using hibernate as the JPA provider is not working with OpenJPA: , I believe you want to change:"where symbol = :symbol" to :
code :
 "where ord.symbol = :symbol"
"where ord.symbol = ?1"

  .setParameter(1, symbol)

I hope this helps you . I finally find the answer. It is an unwritten convention that exist and when you use camel-case properties you had to use under lined fields in schema.sql file.
so with my entity file like this:
code :
public class Stock {

    private int stockId;

    private String companyName;

    private double price;

... with all setter and getters

drop TABLE  if EXISTS  stock;
CREATE TABLE stock(stock_id INT ,company_name VARCHAR(20),price DECIMAL (10,2)

INSERT INTO stock VALUES (1,'apple',345.01);
INSERT INTO stock VALUES (2,'google',8999.00);
INSERT INTO stock VALUES (3,'kashky',56.60);

wish help you to fix your issue JPA define CURRENT_DATE / CURRENT_TIME / CURRENT_TIMESTAMP to be portable way to reference current date / time.
Also, some implementation (not all!) support function like year / month / day / hour / minute / second.
code :
@Query("SELECT e FROM CustMstr e WHERE e.crteDt between CURRENT_DATE-1 AND  CURRENT_DATE AND e.accActive ='Y'")
List<CustMstr> findByEmailAndAcc();
@Query("SELECT e FROM CustMstr e WHERE e.crteDt between :start and :end AND e.accActive ='Y'")
List<CustMstr> findByEmailAndAcc(Date start, Date end);
List<CustMstr> findByEmailAndAcc(){
    Date start=new Date();
    Date end=new Date(date.getTime()-(24*3600));
    return repository.findByEmailAndAcc(start, end);
