JavaScript apply() passes all arguments as one array

JavaScript apply() passes all arguments as one array

I hope this helps . I'm trying to execute external JS functions in my control by passing a function name and using apply(). , after
code :
var args = Array.prototype.slice.call(arguments, 2);
console.log(args); // [[e, data]], array in array... got it?
executeFunctionByName(functionName, window, e, data);
var args = arguments[2]; //or name the third input parameter

it helps some times What? Apply passes the scope as well...
code :
method.apply(this, [args]);
this.methods[i].call(main);
this.methods[i].apply(main, [args]);

help you fix your problem As far as I can tell, these two functions behave the same way: , The second one is pretty dangerous and won't always work. Try:
code :
console.log(returnArgs2(3));
function returnArgs() {
  var rv = [];
  for (var i = 0; i < arguments.length; ++i)
    rv.push(arguments[i]);
  return rv;
}
function foo(a, b) {
  arguments[1] = a;
  return b;
}

alert(foo("hello", "world")); // "hello"

To fix this issue There are a few ways to do it. I'd suggest using the .map() method to iterate over the functions, because then you can easily put their return values into another array:
code :
const results = funcs.map((f, i) => f(args[i]))
const funcs = [
  (a) => a * 2,
  (a) => a * 3,
  (a) => a * 4,
  (a) => a * 5
]
const args = [1, 2, 3, 4]
const results = funcs.map((f, i) => f(args[i]))

console.log(results)

this one helps. You can use event and this. According to MDN
Return an array with the length property of arguments passes

I wish this helpful for you You can use of ... and Array.map which are ES6 features. So you will handle any number of string.
code :
function stringLengths(...args) {
  return args.map(x => x.length);
}

console.log(stringLengths(
  'str1',
  'je suis un chocolat',
  'les croissants sont bons',
));
const stringLengths = (...args) => args.map(x => x.length);

console.log(stringLengths(
  'str1',
  'je suis un chocolat',
  'les croissants sont bons',
));
