it helps some times You can use jquery_validator library on the client side to display error for each field :
http://www.position-absolute.com/articles/jquery-form-validator-because-form-validation-is-a-mess/
code :
$this->form_validation->set_rules('product[]', 'lang:product', 'trim|required');

To fix this issue You can use the Zend\Validator\Callback validator for this
The first parameter passed to your callback is the value of the input to which the validator is applied.
code :
    $apArrInputFilter->add($factory->createInput(array(
        'name' => 'apArrTime',
        'required' => true,
        'validators' => array(
                array(
                    'name' => 'Callback',
                    'options' => array(
                        'messages' => array(
                            \Zend\Validator\Callback::INVALID_VALUE => 'The departure time is less than the arrival time',
                        ),
                        'callback' => function($value, $context=array()) {
                            // value of this input
                            $apArrTime = $value;
                            // value of input to check against from context
                            $apDepTime = $context['apDepTime'];
                            // compare times, eg..
                            $isValid = $apDepTime > $apArrTime;
                            return $isValid;
                        },
                    ),
                ),
        ),
    )));

wish help you to fix your issue Firstly, and most importantly, you must wrap your input elements inside
tags for the jQuery Validate plugin to operate. However, a submit button is not required.
Secondly, you can programatically trigger the validity test of any or all elements without a submit button by using the .valid() method.
code :
$(document).ready(function() {

    $('#myform').validate({ // initialize the plugin on your form.
        // rules, options, and/or callback functions
    });

    // trigger validity test of any element using the .valid() method.
    $('#myelement').valid();

    // trigger validity test of the entire form using the .valid() method.
    $('#myform').valid();

    // the .valid() method also returns a boolean...
    if ($('#myform').valid()) {
        // something to do if form is valid
    }

});

I hope this helps you . Since this is not implemented in the latest version at the moment of writing (1.13.1) as was stated by Sparky in his answer, I've come up with a few lines of code to do this outside documented plugin functionality. Sharing:
code :
jQuery.validator.methods.email = function(){return true;}
jQuery.validator.methods.url = function(){return true;}
// Etc for each method you wish to disable

around this issue You need to add a group object for grouping the validation and errorPlacement if you needed.
code :
rules: {
    key_valid_from: {
      required: true,
      date: true
    },
    key_valid_till: {
      required: true,
      date: true
    }

  },
  groups: {
    key_valid_from: "key_valid_from key_valid_till"
  },
  errorPlacement: function(error, element) {
    if (element.attr("name") == "key_valid_from" || element.attr("name") == "key_valid_till")
      error.insertAfter('input[name=key_valid_till]');
    else
      error.insertAfter(element);
  }

I wish this help you Basically, in your rules() method, you need to determine how many name and count elements there are in the POST and then create rules for each of them:
