seems to work fine I didn't find a solution with progressDialog, but found a solution with ProgressBar. Maybe will be useful for somebody :
Put the ProgressBar inside the layout with the GONE visability :
code :
<RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"    ....>

    <EditText
       ...
    <requestFocus/>
    </EditText>

    <ProgressBar
        android:id="@+id/streets_progress"
        android:visibility="gone"

        />
    <ListView
        ....
        /> </RelativeLayout>
 @Override
        protected void onPreExecute() {
            super.onPreExecute();
            streets_progress.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE);
        }
@Override
        protected void onPostExecute(JSONObject result) {
            if (result!=null) {
            streets_progress.setVisibility(View.GONE);
        }

should help you out Based on some of your question tags and responses in the comments to other answers and on the question itself, I'm presuming that somewhere in your code, you intend to call
code :
Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver").newInstance();
conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url, username, password);
try {
    conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url, username, password);
    PreparedStatement pstmt = conn.prepareStatement("INSERT INTO `table`
        (pid,tid,rid,tspend,description) VALUE
        (?,?,?,?,?)");
    pstmt.setString(1, pid );
    pstmt.setString(2, tid);
    pstmt.setString(3, rid);
    pstmt.setInt(4, tspent);
    pstmt.setString(5,des );
    pstmt.executeUpdate();
} catch (Exception e) {
    // whatever you want to do to handle the exception
} finally {
    // close your connection
}
try (Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url, username, password)) {
    try (PreparedStatement pstmt = conn.prepareStatement(/*sql here*/)) {
        // Your code here
    } catch (SQLException sqle) {
        // handle exceptions from the statement
    }
} catch (SQLException outerSqlEx) {
    // handle exceptions from connecting
}
Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
// could be here ----^
y = stmt.executeUpdate(query);
// or --^

wish of those help Try node empty = {0, {0}};.
This is an effective way to initialize structs and arrays, or as in this case, a struct containing an array.

Hope that helps Nothing about edge types is special - just define a new object type and refer to that instead of the other type directly. Just like you might define a join table in SQL. So let's say you start out with (in the GraphQL schema language):
code :
type User {
  bestFriend: User
}
type User {
  bestFriend: Friendship
}

type Friendship {
  friend: User
  startTime: Date
  commonPhotos: [Photo]
}

this will help Probably you try to initialize your ArrayAdapter outside of Activity context where this is not correct context to instantiate ArrayAdapter. Try to pass valid context instead of this
code :
arrayAdapter = new ArrayAdapter<String>(context,
    android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1, temp);
