help you fix your problem You could bind a change event to the #ops select, and when it changes filter the data to load it to the second select.
Added jsfiddle with the solution. http://jsfiddle.net/x3Jgj/1/

This might help you Ran into a problem that is causing some snags. I am making a product configurator for my company. Essentially, all of our products are custom, so different components may not be compatible with other components. , How about first defining your rules:
code :
var controllerTypeFunctions = {
    Default:function(){
        $('#series option').prop('disabled',false);
    },
    UV: function(){
        $('#series option').prop('disabled',true);
    },
    EAFVH: function(){
        $('#series option').prop('disabled',false);
    },
    EAFVV: function(){
        $('#series option').filter(function(){
           return this.value == "4" || this.value == "6"
        }).prop('disabled',true);
    }
}
$('#type').on('change',function(){
    controllerTypeFunctions.Default(); //resets all to enabled

    var val = $(this).val();
    controllerTypeFunctions[val]();
});
var controllerTypeFunctions = {
    Default:function(){
        $('#series option').prop('disabled',false);
    },
    UV: function(){
        $('#series option').prop('disabled',true);
    },
    EAFVH: function(){
        $('#series option').prop('disabled',false);
    },
    EAFVV: function(){
        $('#series option').filter(function(){
           return this.value == "4" || this.value == "6"
        }).prop('disabled',true);
    }
}

$('#type').on('change',function(){
    controllerTypeFunctions.Default();

    var val = $(this).val();
    controllerTypeFunctions[val]();
});
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>

may help you . The paper-dropdown-menu has an 'opened' property. You can listen on click of the dropdown content and if opened is true, set it to false.

seems to work fine You have the li formatted as inline, and that’s what messes this up.
Using your browser dev tools, you can clearly see that the links inside are higher than your li.
Close the previous dropdown menu when click on the next dropdown menu opener button and keep that menu opened

this will help Please see the page first to understand https://ibnul.neocities.org/_temporary/au2p10/au2p10.html , Replace the eventlistener with this:
code :
window.addEventListener('click', function(event) {
    var editMenuDropdowns = document.getElementsByClassName('edit-menu-drop-down-box');
    for (var j = 0; j < editMenuDropdowns.length; j++) {
      var openEditMenuDropdown = editMenuDropdowns[j];
      if (openEditMenuDropdown.classList.contains('show-edit-menu-drop-down-box') && event.target.closest('.edit-menu-icon-con') !== openEditMenuDropdown.parentElement) {
        openEditMenuDropdown.classList.remove('show-edit-menu-drop-down-box');
      }
    }
});
