I wish did fix the issue. Before I begin, may I just say, I am very new to general communication with the web in code. With that said, could anyone assist me in getting these parameters, , The elements with the name attributes equal to:
code :
a, b, c, d, e, f, g(the radio button Daily/Weekly/Monthly)
<input type="hidden" name="s" value="^GSPC" data-rapid_p="11">
import requests

url = 'http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp'

params = {
    's': '^GSPC', #<input type="hidden" name="s" value="^GSPC" data-rapid_p="11">
    'a': 1, #stMonth,
    'b': 16, #stDate,
    'c': 2014, #stYear,
    'd': 1, #enMonth,
    'e': 18, #enDate,
    'f': 2014, #enYear,
    'g': 'd', #daily/weekly/monthly
}

resp = requests.get(url, params=params)
print resp.text
print resp.url
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?a=1&c=2014&b=16&e=18&d=1&g=d&f=2014&s=%5EGSPC

Difference between data and params in Python requests

Difference between data and params in Python requests

I hope this helps you . I got confused between the data and params in requests.session class. What is the difference between data and params?. When do we need to use it and what will be the output difference? , params attaches the parameters to the URL, for a GET request, e.g.:
code :
http://www.example.com/page.php?param1=value1&param2=value2
POST /page.php HTTP/1.0
Host: www.example.com
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
Content-Length: 27

param1=value1&param2=value2

should help you out When passing a dictionary to params it gets url encoded. Your string is url encoded already so it gets double encoded, resulting in a malformed 'signature'.
You can use urllib.unquote to decode sig (or you can just replace '%3D' with '=')
code :
payload = {
    'parameterA': 'valueA', 'parameterB': 'valueB',
    'apikey': apikey, 'salt': salt, 'signature': urllib.unquote(sig)
}

wish helps you First, the view-source website you give returns 404 error.
Second, what do you get when you print response.url? It should return full url including params concatenated.

Any of those help First, you're sending the wrong type of request. You're sending a GET request, but you need to send a POST, with requests.post.
Second, passing a dict as data will form-encode the data rather than JSON-encoding it. If you want to use JSON in your request body, use the json argument, not data:
code :
requests.post(url=..., json=d)
