Android - Saving Dynamically generated TextViews

Android - Saving Dynamically generated TextViews

Does that help I'm trying to make a To Do List app. When the screen rotates, all of the dynamically added textviews get removed. The textviews get added into a LinearLayout within a linearlayout, right above the add button.
code :
@Override
protected void onRestoreInstanceState(Bundle savedInstanceState){

    super.onRestoreInstanceState(savedInstanceState);

    counter = savedInstanceState.getInt(counter_value);
    toDoList = savedInstanceState.getStringArrayList("key");

    // Add this for-loop to restoring your list
    for(String str : toDoList){
        ListItems.addView(createNewTextView(str));
    }
}

With these it helps You already have onClick() method in Activity class (implemented View.setOnClickListener) so I suggest you to create a new class which implements View.setOnClickListener interface to handle click of TextView.
Try,
code :
class TextClick implements View.setOnClickListener {
  @Override
  public void onClick(View view) {
     TextView tx=(TextView) view;
     ...
   }
}
 TextClick click=new TextClick();
 for (int i = 0; i < x; i++) {
    TextHolder firstOne = genList.get(i);
    String text = firstOne.getText();
    mainText[i] = new TextView(this);
    mainText[i].setOnClickListener(click);
    ...
 }

wish help you to fix your issue Create the views dinamically however you want to do and add the listener right then.
code :
TextView tv = new TextView(ActivityName.this);
tv.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() {
    public void onClick(View v) {
       Toast.makeText(ActivityName.this, "tv text: " + ((TextView) v).getText().toString()).show();
       //Do whatever you want to do here.
    }
});
layout.addView(tv); //layout added on the xml for example, or by an inflater.

wish helps you Just call setOnClickListener(OnClickListener) then on each of your TextViews.
code :
for(int i = 0; i < blog_link_counter; i++) {
    textViewArray[i] = new TextView(this);
    textViewArray[i].setText(Html.fromHtml(array_blog_text[i]+"<br>"));
    textViewArray[i].setId(i);
    textViewArray[i].setOnClickListener(listener);
    ((LinearLayout) linearLayout).addView(textViewArray[i]);
}

        if(arg0==tx[i]){

        }

seems to work fine I have an application where the user creates views from predefined XML in runtime. Currently, I'm saving how many views are created by the user in quite. When application restarts the main activity fetches information from SQLite and generate the UI accordingly so that user sees exact UI when leaving application. My question is, is this a good practice to generate UI elements every time user starts the app or is there any other way to save the app state while exiting? ,
Is it good practice?
