wish helps you I've created a quick demo of your example code using the date format plugin, fiddle here and it appears to work fine in Safari.
Things to try:
code :
//var d = new Date("2011-11-02"); // This will work for the vast majority of browsers - but not safari

function parseDate(input) {
  var parts = input.match(/(\d+)/g);
  return new Date(parts[0], parts[1]-1, parts[2]);
}

var d = parseDate("2011-11-02");
alert(d.format("dd-mm-yyyy"));
Save datefield from template: error "value has an invalid date format. It must be in YYYY-MM-DD format."

Does that help What you are looking for is this function.
So in your view, you want to have:
code :
date = time.strptime(request.POST['date_analysis'], "%m/%d/%Y")
newanal = analysis(nprova=request.POST['nprova'],data_analysis=date)
newanal.save()
django.core.exceptions.ValidationError: ["'' value has an invalid date format. It must be in YYYY-MM-DD format.&quo

hope this fix your issue The default can not be the empty string, since that is not a Date. for example use date(1111, 11, 11) with from datetime import date in modals page then if you will be get same error , you have to delete all migrations and erase your database data too and do migrations again.
DJANGO: ValidationError ["'journals__Start_Date' value has an invalid date format. It must be in YYYY-MM-DD format.

This might help you You can not pass a 2-tuple of F-objects to the __range lookup. It works in the sense that wit will write a query like:
code :
-- ...
WHERE date BETWEEN F(column1) AND F(column2)
journal.objects.filter(
    Q(User=request.user) |
    Q(Date__gte=F('journals__Start_Date'), Date__lte=F('journals__End_Date'))
)
ValidationError: ["'' value has an invalid date format. It must be in YYYY-MM-DD format."] in django

ValidationError: ["'' value has an invalid date format. It must be in YYYY-MM-DD format."] in django
