JSON Android Error- Attempt to invoke virtual method 'java.lang.String org.json.JSONObject.getString(java.lang.String)'

With these it helps The error, as user1023110 pointed out, happens because the constructor is throwing an exception. In this case, I was giving the constructor a JSONArray and it giving the error that it could not be converted to JSONObject. First, I added this to the top of my ClientServerInterface class:
code :
static JSONArray jarr = null;
jarr = new JSONArray(json);
jobj = jarr.getJSONObject(0);
jobj = new JSONObject(json);

it should still fix some issue Ok, so finally based upon your inputs from above in the comments, I've been able to identify the issue. It seems that MovementDetector class is using the singleton design pattern.
To get the instance of the MovementDetector you are using the following code
code :
MovementDetector.getInstance()
public static MovementDetector getInstance() {
    if (mInstance == null) {
        mInstance = new MovementDetector(mContext);
        mInstance.init();
    }
    return mInstance;
}
mInstance = new MovementDetector(mContext);
public static MovementDetector getInstance(Context context) {
        if (mInstance == null) {
            mInstance = new MovementDetector(context);
            mInstance.init();
        }
        return mInstance;
    }
MovementDetector.getInstance(context).start();

code :
this.am = (AlarmManager) context.getSystemService(Context.ALARM_SERVICE);
at lol.com.epl.FixFragment.onCreateView(FixFragment.java:88)

it helps some times The array in your ArrayAdapter contains at least one entry that is null. There must be no nulls there.
The array is populated in getDiaryDBDataList() so the problem is also there.

help you fix your problem I have one activity calling another. But it keeps giving me the error "java.lang.NullPointerException: Attempt to invoke virtual method 'java.lang.String android.os.Bundle.getString(java.lang.String)' on a null object reference". , You have to add the extras to the actual Intent:
code :
Intent intent1 = new Intent (this, buisnessProfileEdit.class);
Bundle data1 = new Bundle();
data1.putString("Restaurant Username",restaurantUsername);
intent1.putExtras(data1);
startActivity(intent1);
Error: java.lang.NullPointerException: Attempt to invoke virtual method 'boolean java.lang.String.equals(java.lang.Objec

I hope this helps . This has nothing to do with Android Studio updates
You see this line here
code :
user.getId().equals(firebaseUser.getUid())
if(user.getId() != null && user.getId().equals(firebaseUser.getUid())
