seems to work fine If you want to handle every postback, the simplest way to do it is to replace the __doPostBack function with your own wrapper, like this:
code :
var originalDoPostBack = __doPostBack;
__doPostBack = function() {
    //Run some code
    if(something)
        originalDoPostBack.apply(this, arguments);
}

hop of those help? I've set the click event on a parent row of a div to select the child checkbox when clicked. The problem is that when you click the actual checkbox, the parent click overrides the checkbox click event, which prevents the checkbox from checking. , You may try this
code :
$(document).ready(function () {
    $('.dg_row').click(function(){
        var cb=$(this).find("input:checkbox:first");
        $(this).toggleClass("dg_row_sel dg_row");
        var cls=$(this).attr('class');
        if(cls=='dg_row_sel') cb.attr('checked', 'checked');
        else cb.removeAttr('checked');
    });
});

I hope this helps . You can use any of these to solve your purpose:
Solution 1: Verify an element after search action performed.
code :
driver.findElement(By.id("input_search")).clear();
driver.findElement(By.id("input_search")).click();

//here write code to wait for an element available on search result page

try{
if(driver.findElement(By.id("search result page element")).isDisplayed() == true){
System.out.println("Search successful");
} catch (NoSuchElementFound ee){System.out.println("Search not successful");}
driver.findElement(By.id("input_search")).clear();
driver.findElement(By.id("input_search")).click();

//here write code to wait for sometime around 10-20 seconds

JavascriptExecutor jsExecutor = (JavascriptExecutor)driver;
String s = (String) jsExecutor.executeScript("var s1 = 'Search successful'; var s2 = 'Search not successful'; if(document.readyState === 'complete'){return s1;} else {return s2;}");

Hope that helps You can use the parent function like this, since it will always be a child of something, you can check to see if it is or is not in the body tags:
code :
$('button').click(function(){
    var x = $(this).parent();
    if (!x.is('body')) {
        console.log("It has it!");
    } else {
        console.log("It does not have it!");
    }
});
if ( $(".child-element").parents("#main-nav").length == 1 ) {

   // YES, the child element is inside the parent

} else {

   // NO, it is not inside

}

This might help you What you want to do is intercept the WM_MOUSE messages being sent to the buttons. In windows this is called a hook, with a hook you can say that you want the windows message before someone else gets it. You can investigate the message and decide to send the message to the original destination, or to withhold the message. In that case the original destination(s) won't get the windows message and won't notice that the button was pressed.
Hooking to a message chain is done using SetWindowsHookEx in win32.dll. This is very low level, and thus unsafe code. There are several questions on StackOverflow about SetWindowsHookEx, CallNextHookEx, UnhookWindowsHookEx, but I could not find an example that works of the shelve.
code :
hHook = SetWindowsHookEx(WH_MOUSE,
            MouseHookProcedure,
            (IntPtr)0,
            AppDomain.GetCurrentThreadId()); <== obsolete
ProcessThread runningThread = Process.GetCurrentProcess().Threads
    .OfType<ProcessThread>()
    .SingleOrDefault(thread => thread.ThreadState == ThreadState.Running );
    if (runningThread != null)
    {
        hHook = SetWindowsHookEx(WH_MOUSE,
            MouseHookProcedure,
            (IntPtr)0,
            runningThread.Id);    // <== works ok
    }
